Although the raptor's grisly, gore-filled life remained a constant bloody backdrop in the Ascendants' life, the pack called more than just this stretch of land their territory. Delta, the second-largest of the group and in better physical health than Blue, found herself wandering vast stretches of land adjacent to the mammal pack's home; without the competition with the mammal pack, she found it easier to take down big prey with minimal interference. Some days, such as today, she even found recently-deceased carrion to drag back home with her.

With the front half of a doe hanging from her jagged teeth, the large predator effortlessly walked through the forested lands. The stink of the flesh made it obvious the deer died a few hours ago, but Delta picked up an oddity about it with her keen sense of smell - something drained it off its blood. This made it quite the dry meal, but she never found herself too picky. This fact presented plain to see on the deer's carcass as well, given that little to no blood dropped from its corpse as Delta moved it; not even from the severed half of its torso. Even more curiously, Delta's lack of blood-splatter across her maw and throat made it obvious the utahraptor hadn't been the one to drain the carcass either.

SING, GODDESS, OF THE RAGE OF ACHILLES
Occasionally, Bastille would hunt the girls down at random just to check in on them. They seemed mostly used to him by now, which was all he expected, really. He wouldn't call them friends, per se. He was fond of Delta and Charlie, as they seemed easiest to work with, and so far they didn't hate him. He was definitely just a convenient provider to them, but hey: he'd take it. They were relatively entertaining to just hang out with from time to time, watching as they bickered or played catch with dead rabbits. (Well, okay, he was the one who started throwing carcasses for Charlie to chase, but it was... kind of endearing. For a giant raptor that could step on him.)

Which was where he was headed now, veering off of a patrol out of boredom and tracking the nearest aura to him. He saw Blue less frequently these days, but his default had usually always been Delta, anyway. It was short work to catch sight of her meandering across the fields, and he rolled his eyes when he noted that she had a snack with her, too. Typical. Were the girls ever not hungry? Amused, the bengal caught up to her, making one of those odd throaty noises as usual with his, "Hey, Delta."

He eyes her treat, and then blinked as he considered it a little closer. No blood, anywhere, which was... odd, for Delta. Another moment passed before he realized that one of the vampires must have gotten this one, and he let out a short laugh, startled. "Huh," he said, absently, "I guess we're really killing two birds with one stone here, huh? Where'd you get that, Delta?"
