She was a incredulous woman, torn from the arms of her lover and trafficked like some slave in this gang of thieves. But she had managed to escape. She always, always escaped. But in doing so, she left behind a little bit of herself each time.

Delilah was cold, almost seeming lonely at times. And that, she was. She was scared, lonely, empty. She missed her lover, she truly did, but she knew the male's fate the moment she was torn from his arms. The winged feline paced her way to the borders of Tanglewood's territory, long pastel eyelashes fluttering with sadness that she wouldn't let loose.

She was a ticking time bomb, Delilah knew this. But she still craved the presence of others, still eager for their attentions despite the loss she knew they would become eventually. Love was painful for her, but she was still wanting such futile things. The silver bengal knew it was useless to wish, to want to have a family. She knew it was useless just to be herself.

But she still wanted those things.

She was only mortal, after all.

She was weak, deprived of power. She was nothing. She knew that.
She knew.

The pretty feline graced the territory with her lost gaze, the memories of her past gone. She couldn't remember anything before she was yanked from the arms of her lost lover. She couldn't remember what it was like to run free, even though she wasn't even shackled anymore.

But alas, she was here. She was free.

She knew the sound of a male's voice when she heard it, but the sound of it still seemed so far off to her. She was lost in thought, soft magenta eyes focusing on rather nothingness in the distance. Delilah's face was expressionless, a look of yearning in her eyes being the only thing that was visible in such a cold, emotionless gaze.

Drip, drop.

Delilah blinked her eyes for a moment, shaking herself back into reality before glancing at the man whom had spoken to her previously. "I've come to join." She stated softly, her voice carrying a wounded, silent cry to it. She didn't want to be left alone, she didn't want to die.

Why couldn't she remember anything? She felt numb inside, she felt like there was a void inside of her head that she just couldn't understand. Like it was too far off, too distant.

"My name is Delilah Evergarden."

    There was a time when he had been just as innocently foolhardy as her. A single moment where he had won, silently crowing his final escape up to the blind heavens in early celebration. No one would ever touch him again, no one could ever hurt him again. He had been young, and still was. Young and dumb with a newfound confidence to his limp as he turned his back to danger and continued distancing himself from his unwavering pursuers. He realized they never abandoned their hunt the instant an arrow was sent through his back.

    After an ambushed demise, the boy had never been so foolish again. Paranoia and suspicion burrowed deep into his pulseless hear; nasty vermin that, even with a clan of familiar faces under his amateur lead, refused to let go of their centuries-long grip. They drove him to obsessive extremes: setting and checking and resetting traps throughout their land, inducing a territorial frenzy at the sight of an enemy threat, and leading him to approach any foreign scent he caught whiff of at their border. Delilah was a new scent, with no other traces of known lands on her. The wary poltergeist almost relaxed a smidge, considering so many strangers had previously arrived on their boggy doorstep to join rather than attack. What if she's a spy? What if she's going to betray us? What if she --

    Beck furiously shook his head, scattering flecks of toxic drool as he dismissed his insecurities. Stalking through a bundle of wilting cattails and pointedly avoiding a ditch filled with murky waters, he tilted his disfigured snout to the wind a second time, now recognizing Vigenere's sulfuric scent reaching her first. The grimy little feline phased through the foliage in time enough to catch her name -- Delilah was a fitting name, he supposed. Much more than Beck for him. Rolling bony shoulders and retracting pearly claws he hadn't realized were unsheathed, he stayed a safe gap away from the two to observe in eerie silence. His head swiveled to the side, nearsighted eyes struggling to catch a glimpse of Delilah's deadpan expression. She looked traumatized, but by what? Beginning to visibly gnaw on his pale tongue, the commander spoke up in a whistling rasp, "Where'd ya come from, Dee-li-lah?" Why were long names so hard for him to pronounce? Ignoring the obvious answer of his grotesque missing cheek, Beck wrinkled his freckled nose into an impatient scowl as he glared at the other feline.

Delilah didn't understand why they were looking at her like this, wary and cautious. She couldn't do anything, couldn't fight against them. At least, she couldn't remember if she could. She didn't know of her powers, or if she even had any. Pink irises focused on the new arrival, not minding the slimey, goopey appearance she saw. It had a charm to it, in her opinion. All things did, she thought.

Sakura colored eyes found their way to her paws. Ashamed, she couldn't remember anything significant. Where did she come from? "I.. Don't remember." Meowed the feline, paws coming up to her arm to gently itch at it. Where was she? "I don't.. Remember why I ran to this place.. I just kept.. Running." She meowed, anxiety taking ahold of her once more. Panic lit up her expressions, before she saw the form of the commander once more and calmed down.

Drip, drop.

She didn't need to be scared, they weren't.. Dangerous. Not like them. Who was them? She knew she was being chased by people, but she couldn't remember who. She couldn't.. Who was her lover again? Why was this happening to her? All she remembered was running, she was running until her pawpads hurt.

Drip, drop!

Tears filled the pastel felines eyes, and she hadn't expected to cry right now. She had no idea why she was crying, but she was. The femme let tears fall uncontrollably, the liquid aquaphoric substances salty but still pretty in a weird, fucked up way that Delilah could get somehow. She was pretty when she cried, she remembered those cruel words from those people.

She hated being targetted, she hated running now. It all hurt, she hurt all over.

His touch seemed to quell any worries inside of her, but the anxiety remained. It always remained. Turning to face the other feline, her gaze softening just a bit to show a look of thanks in her magenta eyes. "Thank you.." Came the broken, feminine voice, small and fragile. Delilah was a bit calmer after a few moments, before she closed her eyes to think for a bit.

"I want to live." She announced softly, pink irises seeming to hold a bit more hope in them now. She gently pressed her cheek into the other's neck for a moment, before withdrawing and walking over to Beck slowly. "Beck.. Home." She muttered softly, eyelashes fluttering for a moment before she limped back over to Vigenere. "Where.. Do you stay?" She shivered, her fur fluffing up from the cold.

The pastel feline froze when he asked if she needed medical help, and then she remembered that she was wounded. Sitting down, she lifted her paws up to show the bloodied pawpads to the group, a blank expression on her face.

Then, she saw the massive dog-looking creature, and stumbled back a bit. The sudden appearance of the scary canine startled her, making her scoot back away from the dog and hide behind Vigenere, ears flat against her head. Who was he?
