book worm — open + yard sale - coldblue - 07-02-2018

A yard sale? Really? Is his father serious? Does Pincher really think that Coldblue is even remotely willing to give away any of his precious books? If so, the captain is an idiot. The young Roux already shows the telltale signs of a hedonistic bastard, so there is no way in hell he would even consider allowing his collection of novels and comics into the filthy paws of his crewmates. There are only two people he would be okay with sharing his books with: Aunt Rosemary and his sister, Goldie. Blue trusts them not to destroy some of the only things he loves. With this in mind, Blue still needs to figure out a way to accomplish his task so people will stop thinking he is completely useless. So the child spends most of the morning snatching various books and other works of literature from people who are not very watchful over their possessions. He keeps the ones he wants, and then the rest are organized into a neat display before his home. "Lots of books need rehoming! Come get some books or whatever..." Snore. It's already boring and he hasn't even started yet.

Pincher knew his son didn't exactly see him eye to eye and he didn't exactly mind that. He knew possible reasons why Coldblue held a wall between them despite his small attempts to show his son that he cared for him though he guessed that the male might believe that he only cared for Goldenluxury. He held a warmer closer relationship with her but that was simply due to the fact that he had been able to reach out without her holding much of a grudge for his absense during their younger months of development. The canine desired to have the same relationship with the bengal child but at the moment, he wasn't very hopeful that it would ever be okay for him to be close to Coldblue but he still had to try. The broad-shouldered canine had been hunting in the jungle when he heard the voice of the other Roux call, Pincher remembering that it had been the task that he had assigned him. He might as well see what possible books could be worth his time to read since he had always enjoyed them but found it difficult to squeeze in time due to his responsibilities.

The long limbed lithe form of the doberman stalked out of the rich mixed vegetation, greeted with a strong gust of a sea breeze that made his long velvety ears fold back as he stepped onto the sand and trekked towards the waiting figure of his son with the rows of various books. He raised a slight eyebrow when he noticed some books weren't familiar when he had seen his son reading but he decided to keep that to himself, the idea of him being a book thief rather amusing than awful in his perspective. "Hello son, what do you recommend for me?" His voice rumbled out the question as the tall male lowered his head to glance at the titles with keen crystalline cyan blue eyes.

Re: book worm — open + yard sale - Malana - 07-04-2018

[color=#00688b]”Those are some neat looking seashells!”

The observation dripped from the lips of the tiny orca cat, her still unsteady paws leading her teetering form towards Pincher, Coldblue, and the plethora of books for sale. A being of the seas, the young Malana did not quite grasp the concept of reading nor did she realize that the leaderbound things that rested before her were about as far away from seashells as one could get. They still fascinated her though - as did everything above the waves - and she found herself eagerly tugging on one, pulling it closer to investigate it. She expected the rough surface of a seashell to greet her waiting paws but was surprised to see that it was smooth and fluttery. How weird!

[color=#00688b]”Are these magic seashells? What do you do with them? Oh! You have a Caes- no, it’s a name. You have a name, not a Caesar. What’s your name?” She inquired, reminding herself that these individuals all possessed unique names, not different speaks that differentiated them from the rest of the pod. [color=#00688b]”I’m Ma-la-na!” She continued chipperly, continuing to speak quickly and excitedly. Talking... communicating... it was all very new to her and admittedly, Malana greatly enjoyed the sound of her own voice.
