OH I BELIEVE [o, alter] - Dimitri - 07-01-2018 She had one job. Keep Dimitri safe. That was Delta’s one and only duty. She often found herself uncomfortable in the body, but... she didn’t matter. She had a job. She couldn’t concern herself with anything else.
They all had different ways of dealing with their existential crisis. One time when she asked Dagon about it, he gave her a sigh and this sad look, and told her, Cogito, ergo sum. I think. Therefore I am. So the she-cat, with her job in mind, moved in the camp. She stopped, the fur of the body growing longer and thicker, making her warm. Delta paused, then moved. Perhaps she could find a weapon or armor for them. Dimitri would need it. "speech" Re: OH I BELIEVE [o, alter] - jacob w.c. - 07-02-2018
THE BLUE AND GREEN BELOW IS A MASTERPIECE — Protection was something Jacob struggled with. He wanted to be safe and he wanted everyone he loved to be safe. Before he'd come to Snowbound, protection had usually meant identifying threats and running away when the particular threat got too close. It happened after he was kidnapped and after the fire. And now he was receiving notes from Archie. At first, he'd hoped that it'd just all stop and he still held onto that. It'd been a long time since he heard from his former kidnapper and he was hoping they'd just lost interest and moved on. He doubted that was the case but he couldn't face how he'd deal with it now. He had family and friends here, he didn't want to leave them. What would he tell Harrison? Or Goldie? Or Pincher? No, he was determined to stay this time, even with the deteriorating state of his legs. He happened to be wandering around when he spotted Dimitri, though he seemed to have slightly longer fur than usual. He felt like it wasn't the first time it'd looked like that but he couldn't be sure. Still, he made his way over to the other individual with a light smile on his maw. "Hi Dimitri! How's it goin'? Is your fur a li'l longer than it was before? Tha's pretty neat, I know 's a bit colder 'ere than what you're probably used to. It was a bit ah' a shock for me but I always wear the bandages n' sweaters n' things so it never really bothered me none." It was just mindless conversation, really, but Jacob supposed it'd be a good way to get to know the relatively new Snowbounder. Maybe it'd even mean leading up to inviting a few of the newer members to dinner or something. It'd be nice to have a few people over one night. — BUT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL LIKE I'VE NEVER SEEN "SPEECH" Re: OH I BELIEVE [o, alter] - Dimitri - 07-02-2018 Dimitri's tail wavered and his ears rotated back and forth. Always alert. Delta wasn't ready to let her guard down in this clan yet. It paid off as Jacob approached. She was aware he was coming and turned about, determined eyes striking the leader. She bared her teeth for a moment but constrained herself, glancing Jacob up and down.
".....Sweater?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. "I... Delta cleared the throat. Dimitri was higher pitch and stuttered. "I- I adapt my body to the environment using shapeshifting. I'm- I'm a survivor, Jacob." She said, trying to give an answer to the fur. "I... I think it makes me look unflattering, though." Re: OH I BELIEVE [o, alter] - ATBASH CIPHER. - 07-02-2018 ATBASH CIPHER i should've said what i hear i should have let myself fear
Atbash couldn't really relate to wanting to protect others entirely, at least not to the point Jacob or Dimitri did. Sure, she felt protectiveness for her groupmates and her siblings, but she just couldn't fight. She knew she couldn't fight as well as she wanted to, and back home, she wasn't really required to fight. No, back home, she was required to be quiet. Obedient. Atbash shook these thoughts from her mind as she heard Jacob talking to somebody, and made it over just in time to see Dimitri bare his teeth at Jacob. The Arcticplayer was clearly shocked and taken aback by the action, and frowned in concern. "I think you look fine," Atbash responded, though her voice wasn't as calm as it usually was. No, she had concern in her voice and had a twinge of confusion in there too. "But, uh, is your throat alright? You sound a bit different." Maybe he just needed water or something, but usually your voice got scratchy whenever it was dry, not pitched higher. bio | female | arcticplayer [hp] of snowbound © madi
Re: OH I BELIEVE [o, alter] - Dimitri - 07-05-2018 Delta flicked the tail incessantly, annoyed but still trying to retain cover. ”No, no.... It’s just.... a little quirk. My voice just does that some times.” Honestly? She hates lying.
