HOLD ON JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER [o, moving in] - Dimitri - 06-29-2018 Cabins. He didn't know how he felt about that, and moved into the empty cabin. It was a small, about 10 by 12 foot, and that was all he needed. There was a mound of blankets in the corner, cobwebs and dust. A rusted bedframe the lacked a mattress was in another corner, a broom and trashcan. Otherwise, the room was barren and it was still fucking cold.
Dagon hissed, and set the back down. He shut the door and dragged the broom to it with his teeth, as a weak attempt to block it. He took out the journal, and made notes, writing with his teeth holding the pen. Clan's called Snowbound. Picked out an okay cabin. It's not too small and away from the other cabins. - Dagon "Welp, I'm not cleaning." The tom said, tail flicking as he went to inspect the blankets. There was one made of wool. It was black and heavy. A sheet followed, and a fleece blanket. Dagon moved, setting the fleece down first. He folded it with his teeth, dragging it across the floor until he had a small mat. He folded the sheet and the wool blanket in half, to use it as both bedding and a blanket. He paused midstep, gasping and shaking himself. Dimitri looked up, in an unfamiliar place. He went to his journal, updating himself on events and looking at the bed. Sweet. Bed set up. The tom paused, feeling his gut and looking at himself. Fur was longer and there was more weight on him. Dagon must've changed them for the cold environment. He looked at the room, then at a margin note in the corner. I ain't fuckin' cleaning. Dimitri sighed, moving the broom and finding himself unable to utilize it. He dug around, deciding to rip off a portion of the sheet and start using it as a rag to start cleaning up. He wondered what his new neighbors would be like. Re: HOLD ON JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER [o, moving in] - ATBASH CIPHER. - 06-30-2018 ATBASH CIPHER i should've said what i hear i should have let myself fear
Atbash enjoyed the cabins that Snowbound lived in; they were a lot different and cozier than the caves they used to sleep in. Her cabin was closer to the other people since she liked and enjoyed everybody's company, but she knew that some people enjoyed having their space. That didn't mean she couldn't go find Dimitri, right? The she-cat asked a couple of NPCs if they knew where he was staying, and they pointed her to the direction of his cabin. "Hello?" Atbash called as she reached Dimitri's door, knocking on his door. "It's Atbash." She had a little gift basket at her paws, filled with blankets and pillows and a couple stuffed animals (though she wasn't sure if he liked those). She hoped he didn't mind the stuffed animals, and hoped that he liked the little gift basket in the first place. It was a welcoming gift, so to speak. bio | female | arcticplayer [hp] of snowbound © madi
Re: HOLD ON JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER [o, moving in] - jacob w.c. - 06-30-2018
THE BLUE AND GREEN BELOW IS A MASTERPIECE — Jacob had to admit, he liked the comforts of being in a building again but he couldn't help but feel it was a little... empty. He had Harry with him, of course, but he'd grown used to the company of Pincher and Goldie in the tight confines of the submarine. It had certainly been a little small but it'd been nice. He needed to arrange some sort of dinner soon. Maybe he'd find some of the newer members and invite them over or something. He just couldn't stand that empty cabin with just him and Harrison. He needed to fill it with something and someone but kidnapping his boyfriend's family would probably be frowned upon. Besides, if he really wanted them over he could always invite them. But he knew they couldn't stay. Eventually they would all have to go home to Typhoon and he'd be in that house by himself again. He supposed he wouldn't be able to do anything about that for a long time, though. Jacob had thoughts about what he wanted to do after he was done being Chief in Snowbound. He'd never really wanted this job but the safety and stability of his friends and family were more important than what he wanted. He just wanted to be a doctor and to build a family and to live a fairly simple life. He'd been surrounded by grandeur ever since he was little and he'd had enough of it. None of it had ever made him or his family happy, especially given the circumstances in which they acquired most of their wealth. Jacob didn't feel right about any of it and he'd rather just have his own happy family that didn't sell drugs as a primary source of income. His thoughts of family and home were disrupted when he heard Atbash knocking on a door holding a gift basket. It was safe to assume it was for one of the new or returning Snowbounders. As he came closer, he heard the Dimitri's name and settled down nearby. Maybe he'd invite them all to dinner. Maybe he'd just talk for a little while. He wasn't sure. He just knew that he couldn't stay in that empty house, eating by himself again tonight. He was going to drive himself insane spending all that time alone. Thankfully he'd be going out with Pincher soon enough and that'd give them some nice time together. //asdfgh ninja'd. sorry if some of this doesn't make sense — BUT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL LIKE I'VE NEVER SEEN "SPEECH" Re: HOLD ON JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER [o, moving in] - melantha - 07-01-2018 [align=center] Melantha is a lot of things. She is solitary, paranoid, loyal, and a pretty good hunter. She will die for the ones she loves just as soon as she would kill for them. Yes, she is many things, but social is not one of them. The mountain lioness might greet a newcomer every so often or attend a party here and there for the sole purpose of fulfilling her duty to Snowbound, not because she enjoys it (or maybe she wants to enjoy it but doesn't know how). Mel does not go out of her way to talk with people though, especially when involves barging into someone's home--their personal and private space--just for a chat. Nuh uh, no thank you. Suffice to say that when she sees Jacob and Atbash walk into some newbies cabin with presents and whatnot, Melantha hesitates for only a moment before turning away to continue her patrols.
/ mel isn't staying because she's awkward but welcome!! Re: HOLD ON JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER [o, moving in] - Dimitri - 07-01-2018 Dimitri was still cleaning when they arrived. He was thankful they knocked though, as his eyes casted to the journal lying open on the floor. "J- Just a second!" A whine escaped his lips and he jumped down from cleaning, picking up the sacred object and tossing it into his bag. He closed it quickly. He looked around the still dusty room with a sigh, imagining how he would set it up to accommodate for everyone. Especially Daisy. All they had for toys right now for her was the little bear. Daisy needed to be entertained and she wouldn't be able to control herself like the others.
He trodded to the door, jumping up to pull down on the handle, but only letting it open enough to reveal a white leg and a green, insecure eye. Atbash had been the first one he met, so Dimitri was naturally inclined to trust her, but he couldn't be too careful. Don't trust anyone here. They might laugh at you. Sell us out. Don't let your guard down yet. He trusted his personas, but... can't they start settling in? Dimitri's gaze was defensive and inspecting. Observing for possible dangers and keeping himself closed off. His gaze went to the basket and visibly widened- TOYS! He shut the door, shaking himself then reopening it. "S- Sorry for slamming that on ya..." He stepped aside to let them in, gaze locking on Jacob for a second and almost asking the same visible question. How are you going to hurt me? His gaze then watched Mel walking away, and Dimitri was already hesitating to shut the door again. "Come- come on in. It's still messy but I'll find a way to get the cobwebs later." His gaze redirected on the basket and glanced at the backpack for a second. One problem solved, but Daisy would need more than stuffies. "Is that for me?" "speech" Re: HOLD ON JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER [o, moving in] - ATBASH CIPHER. - 07-01-2018 ATBASH CIPHER i should've said what i hear i should have let myself fear
Atbash jumped when Dimitri slammed the door on her, but luckily it didn't take him long to open it right back up. The smile she had faltered a bit when he slammed it, though it was mostly out of confusion than anything else, but it came right back as Dimitri opened the door again. "No worries." She chirped, picking up the basket and made her way into Dimitri's house as she and Jacob were invited in. Setting it down, she nodded at Dimitri's question. "Yes, it is!" She purred. "I, uh, know plush animals are usually a chick thing, but I was hoping you didn't mind them too much." They were still cute, right? bio | female | arcticplayer [hp] of snowbound © madi
Re: HOLD ON JUST A LITTLE WHILE LONGER [o, moving in] - Dimitri - 07-01-2018 He took the basket thoughtfully, already messing with it. He took the stuffed animals out and inspected them- a small dog, a falcon with movable wings, and a leopard. ”Hey.... Atbash.” He turned to look at her. ”Can you help me find some coloring equipment or toys later? It’s for.... a thing.”
He flicked his tail, putting the toys on the bed frame and moving around the blankets. He turned the basket into a makeshift bed, and pushed to where the sun would shine. A basking spot. Dimitri seemed pretty satisfied with the bedding situation. Yet it was still dusty and dirty in here. "It’ll clean up eventually. But I think it’s a start." "Oh, yeah, sure!" Atbash responded with a nod. "Of course. I'm sure Jacob has some paints and stuff, right?" She looked over at the Chief as if asking him to confirm before she looked back over at Dimitri. "It's a start, but you'll get there." She tried to reassure him. "Why don't you take a break for a bit?" bio | female | arcticplayer [hp] of snowbound © madi
