SOMEBODY SHOWED YOU ALL OF THE HORROR-
YOU WEREN'T BORN WITH IT!
[div style="background-color:#BG COLOR;width:90%; overflow: stretch;text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt;color: #E0EEEE;"] The sun was setting.

Argus was usually out at this time. There was nothing out of place beside that Argus was out- in recent week she had been distant, but she was reflecting, thinking - meditating. In that week Pincher had seemingly got injured- in the end of it Argus walked out of her den for a nightly strolled and watched pincher die from the very wound. One she knew nothing about. One she did't have time to counter or fix. One more body piled up to the list of dead.

The list that was ever growing and expanding with her own life. Friends, family, kids, mates. People she got close to- people she cared about falling like carefully placed tragedies, ensnaring her focus- her attempts of fickle help Turning into ash against her fur again and again. Everything ending in smoke-

deep breaths.

The sun washed the sea in a deep orange. Casting it's rays onto the tumultuous sea. Clashing Argus' ties with both in a way that was grounding. The sand reminding her of her first home, and the sea reminding her of her last one before here. Her wings were lax against her sides, dragging against the wet sand as she strolled. Argus let her thoughts drift as she looked out and up. Into the sky- itching for a taste of the air.

Argus didn't use her wings often enough to warrant having them. Easy escape. Quick transportation. She never... flew just to fly anymore. Not like when she was little. Not since... well. That was another story entirely wasn't it? When she was little- four of five months old she first sprouted wings. Trying- attempting in veign to forget the abandonment of her own parents. Argus had taken refuge in the sky. They had always been her escape- scraping her claws against the dunes as the sun baked the earth. Letting her voice echo her frustrations high enough- and to feel the rush as she swan dived. Pulling up closer and closer to the ground as her confidence in her wings grew. Somewhere along the line- her confidence in herself grew too.

Back then, in a time she wasn't allowed to have a childhood- she found it in the skies.
