To know that her biological relatives lived in the Typhoon came as a bit of a shock - especially considering the children - and apparently her biological family adopted a winged domestic feline into the Roux bunch. Now, Rosemary grew up as an only child with a mentally ill mother and absentee father. Her position on random blood relatives wavered slightly; for adopted family, she didn't quite understand the appeal. But for Pincher's memory, she wanted to know why her half-brother (who, in all honesty, she only met a few times) felt a sisterhood bond with this Roxanne. Especially since she, herself, felt she never fully established a sibling relationship with him; she felt a bit jealous that this stranger, not even related to Pincher by blood, got so close to him.
But, all that aside, Pincher's kids deserved to have mentally stable people look after them - which meant cooperation with Roxanne. Like hell she wanted anyone to go through her trainwreck of a childhood, after all. With this goal in mind, the ocelot set about exploring the pirate ship to look for Roxanne. The concentrated smell of her crewmates made it difficult for her to track any individual in this saturated mess of a home, and she unfortunately hadn't gotten used to living and navigating by smell in such a 'stinky' place. Still, she remained reasonably certain that her 'adopted sister' was currently here somewhere. If not, then she'd just have to revisit her scent trail and re-track from there, which she was stubborn enough to do. She and Pincher had sort of clicked ironically enough, due to that she was basically able to get away with murder but she never did so since she respected Pincher. She felt much more comfortable being in this family of Pincher's though she had some doubts here and there though she tried easing down these doubts of hers. She had never had that happy family, she had been the odd one out in her family and was kicked out at a young age. She had starved for most of her childhood until she was forced into cannibalism yet now, she had plenty of food around her and she hated having it wasted on nothing but even despite there being food her carvings were much different. She would still revert to her cannibalistic ways yet she refused to eat any of the people there instead she would force herself to eat what there already was even if she sometimes didn't like it. Eventually she'd eat something that she actually wanted but for now, she had to resist eating anyone even if it was difficult. Just seeing another cat bleed from a minor cut made her mouth salivate. She was indeed on the pirate ship though she was occupied with her crocodile, Kalayavan, who she was holding close to her. He would let out a few chirps though he would occasionally hiss at anyone who passed him and his mother, he had imprinted onto Roxanne the moment he had hatched even if her first intentions had been to eat him. She sat near the edge of the pirate ship with her backs swinging back and forth in a calm manner as she hummed a tune lifting Kal into the air and smiling up at him. She absolutely adored him. © madi

Fortunately - or unfortunately, as social situations sometimes felt to the introvert - the scent trail led her right to Roxanne with no trouble at all. Shuffling on her feet as she ran over the high-level points of what she wanted to achieve in the conversation, the ocelot stared at Roxanne with her four eyes. In the effort to appear incognito, one or two of them oftentimes broke away from the rest to chase some motion on the pirate ship. But, eventually, the pain of nervousness grew greater than her trepidation of interaction and she made her way over to the strangely motherly display from the winged feline.
"Hey, Roxanne; I know we're awkward strangers with a mutual loved one, so I was thinking we should probably get to know each other," the spotted wildcat spoke, her voice soft and muted in tone. As though the juice of her emotions got sucked out of her sentence on the way from her brain to her tongue. Her ears twitched once, before swiveling slightly and returning to their previous position - a nervous fidget. "In my cov - where I'm from, skill swapping is a pretty common way to form bonds, so I thought you might like to try it? For example, my flight skills are nothing more than graceful falling, and I've heard you're a skilled flier," she suggested, growing more confident now that the initial anxiety of starting the conversation was over and done with. |
