IF CRAZY EQUALS GENIUS / o, joining - ROSEMARY - 06-21-2018

The pale ocelot finished walking the long railroad track - much as she hated to do so, given the lack of cover. The temperature ranged far too high to find such a long walk anything but miserable. Once she reached the end, she quickly took cover in the shade of the wrecked train, her mouth wide as she took in the smells of the Typhoon's members. Easily picking out the smell of her half-brother, her tail lifted overhead as her confidence grew. When her dad gave her directions here, he'd been drunk as a skunk; she wouldn't have been surprised if she'd accidentally followed his instructions to a whole other ocean. Remembering that drew her attention to something that she nearly missed; the border's marks held no trace of her dad's smell.

Claws flexing, she leaped onto a small vantage point atop the metal wreckage, wondering if the scoundrel lied about leading a this pirate group. That too, wouldn't have surprised her much; he never visited her much, though he claimed to care about her. She scowled at the memory, tail lashing behind her. Indeed, he promised to visit her last week, but that obviously didn't happen - because he'd died, not that she knew that. Unfortunately for her, her mother had also died recently; with no siblings and with a year left of growing to do, she knew her survival chances would be best if she joined up with Dad's pirate group. Her ears swiveled back momentarily as she corrected that thought. Pincher's group, as it now seemed. Mumbling to herself, she considered the idea of calling out and announcing her presence, but she discarded that plan. She held very little information about the group (even less, if she accounted for her Dad's proclivity to "lie for her protection," seeing as he never wanted her to join up), and drawing the entire Clan's attention seemed stupid.

the little girl had no idea what to do with herself. her papa's death left her absolutely heartbroken and she didn't know how to fix it. she didn't know how to feel or how to react. she cried most of the time. it hurt really bad. she didn't like feeling like this. she kept herself busy now, not wanting to think so much anymore. that's what got her crying. when she thought, she thought about how he was dead. if she just focused on being busy and doing things, she wouldn't have to think about that. that's what brought the tired girl to the stranger now.

she now wore her papa's signature feather earring, having took it from his dead body. it was a comforting object. it still smelled of him. she was sure to be very careful with it and keep it in good shape. the feline looked to the ocelot, her gaze holding a sad energy, but her mouth keeping a friendly smile. "hiya, stranger. what brings you to the typhoon?" her voice was genuinely sweet, though tired.

[align=center][div style="max-width: 600px; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia; font-size: 10pt;"][color=black]He's not sad. He's not upset, either. He's just...numb. The whole thing does not feel real. It can't be. Coldblue regrets how he treated his father, he wishes he could go back and try to be closer with Pincher, but he can't. A youthful streak of rebellion tore him away from his only remaining parent, and now he is gone before Blue can even consider the consequences of his actions. The solitude and isolation never bothered the boy before, but now that their father is gone, all he can think about is getting closer to his sister. He loves his sister to pieces, but Blue is not sure that she is aware of it. It's too late to change things with Pincher, but maybe he can do better with Goldie. These thoughts are the only ones that compel the youth from the comfort of his private lodgings and into the real world. He trails closely after his sister, unwilling to allow more than a couple paces between them. Somewhere, deep down, he is scared that if he so much as takes his eyes off her for a minute, she might be dead too. The handsome child strolls over to join his sibling with a lazy smile.

Piercing blue eyes regard the stranger atop the train with mild curiosity. "Enjoying the view?" he asks in a casual tone. For those unfamiliar with the boy's moods, it is nigh impossible to discern his sadness over his father's passing. Even for a child, he is quite skilled at pretending.

IF LOOKS COULD KILL ✧ Vanessa Carlysle - The Typhoon
Pincher dying had seemed to crush the spirit of all of The Typhoon, though both of his children had taken it the worst. She had made sure to keep an eye on them, as they didn't have anyone looking after them at the time.

The female had taken a seat next to Coldblue when she had approached the scene, her gaze focused on the young female who she didn't recognize. Since Goldie and Coldblue had already questioned her, Nessa decided to remain silent.

Where was Pincher? The ghost did not know nor did it realize it was the faded polaroid form of the doberman that had once ruled over the Typhoon. All that it knew was that this odd magical place felt like home, the energy that flowed through it not similar to that than any other land that it had wandered through. Perhaps it was due to some deep connection that was rooted between the lost deity and the place it was now located at. It was slipping through the trees and rich vegetation of the jungle, it's pawsteps not making a single sound as the male glanced around with faded versions of the electric blue eyes of Pincher. In his chocolate brown lips hung a cigarette, one that was exactly like the ones that the Captain used to smoke. He halted a little far away when he heard voices and commotion, it's glazed optics flickering towards the creatures and deciding to observe what was happening.

It stalked quietly closer to the crowd, towering broad-shouldered figure softly shimmering and hardly visible due to the strong summer daylight that shone down upon the island and its inhabitants. Who were they again? A crew? The elusive doberman was standing a little far ways off, velvety ears pricked with attention as he didn't get too close nor too far to miss what would be said to the stranger that reminded him of someone but he could not place his paw on. Memories. They were such fickle things and the phantom was having trouble recalling any from the deceased form of the male.

REIGN HAVOC FROM ABOVE !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. PRIVATEER.
Pincher's death had little to no effect on Caesar. The Officer simply just didn't care and honestly saw this as an opportunity to take over The Typhoon - but slowly. Slowly he would earn everybody's trust and just announce himself as Captain one day. But that'd take time, of course, and people had to recover and accept Pincher's death. It was an annoyingly tedious process, but one Caesar had to do.

"You have a name?" Caesar added in addition to Goldie's question as he came over, his right ear flicking. Names were important to know, just so he knew who he'd have to deal with later on when he did finally take over this damn place.

She blinked her four eyes as she observed the Typhoon members that greeted her - her main pair of eyes drifted first to Goldie, while the smaller pair on her forehead darted around the girl as she spoke. The girl, along with the boy and older female, had deep blue auras swaddling their forms - she squinted, trying to pry into seeing their original auras, but she gave up when they remained teal blobs. A clear indication of tragic sadness, if there ever was one.

She frowned slightly as Goldie's words appeared around the girl's form as she spoke; Rosemary's auxiliary eyes quickly jumped about to read the blue-hued words as she heard them. "I'm looking for my father and brother - my dad supposedly leads this place, but I don't smell him around anywhere. My brother, on the other hand... where did you get that earring? It looks like his," she answered, her voice faint and willowy. She lost her wits for a moment, forgetting to even name her family members to the pirates, as she deduced something bad certainly happened.

Her primary eyes looked over to Blue as he spoke, her auxiliary pair continuing to dart around reading his blue-saturated speech. It was useful, having two sets of eyes; when people spoke, she could literally see their words in the air, but only for a brief period of time. Considering that both children's auras and words were saturated blue and she knew Pincher was born a bengal cat, well, she hoped her paranoid mind simply jumped to conclusions again. Ears flicking back slightly in distress, the ocelot slipped down from her perch to join the rest of them on the ground. "Height gives an interesting perspective. Are you and her my broth - Pincher's kids...?" she answered the boy, all four eyes focusing on him for a moment as she spoke, only drifting away to glance at the other bengal kitten. It seemed fully awkward to come and not know their names. Or that they even existed to begin with.

Twin tails flicking behind her and rising in the air as she looked at the fourth pirate, the ocelot squared her jaw as she narrowed all four eyes. His aura, drenched in magenta with tinges of red, unsettled her. Usually those colors never boded well for the individual they were attached to, and she found herself drawn to stand taller while he stood in her vicinity. She disliked his nonchalant air, when her senses told her that something very wrong was happening in the Typhoon. At least, he seemed not to care too much about asking for her name - perhaps he was just an apathetic individual, not that she liked those either. "Rosemary Roux. It's customary to give your own name when you ask for someone else's," she told him pointedly, before taking her four eyes off him immediately and back onto the children, her possible nephew and niece.

Still sensing something strangely out of place, the ocelot turned her head slightly to get a better vantage-point of the surrounding forestry. Her four eyes independently moved to scan different areas, finally converging together when she spotted something decidedly out of place. Is that... smoke? she thought to herself, which made no sense, as she should be able to smell any present smoke at this distance. "Is there anyone else out there?" she called out brazenly, half to whoever might be lurking back there and otherwise to the four pirates she definitely knew were around her.

REIGN HAVOC FROM ABOVE !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. PRIVATEER.
Caesar's invisible eyebrows raised as Rosemary explained why she was here and that she was looking for her brother, and that he was the leader of the place. And it didn't take an idiot to assume that was Pincher, considering he had been the leader before he, y'know, died. Caesar still didn't like how they were left without a leader, but whatever, he knew these things took time. "Pincher's dead." The Officer stated flatly, shrugging a bit. He clearly didn't care about Pincher's death, nor how the others felt about it. That was just who he was; he didn't understand why everybody was upset and therefore didn't care much. "But my name's Officer Caesar Cipher." He knew it was typically customary to introduce yourself, but of course being the asshole that he was, he wasn't going to. In his mind, the person visiting had to state their name, meanwhile him giving his own was a 'right'.

Caesar was confused when Rosemary seemed to mention somebody else around and the demon's tail flicked as he frowned. "There shouldn't be anybody else here." He replied to her, unless somebody was hiding. He personally couldn't sense anybody else, so either somebody was lurking around or Rosemary was just imagining things.

Re: IF CRAZY EQUALS GENIUS / o, joining - coldblue - 06-23-2018

[align=center][div style="max-width: 600px; text-align: justify; font-family: georgia; font-size: 10pt;"][color=black]Glacial blue eyes narrow upon the arrival of everyone's least favorite officer. Caeser never stuck Coldblue as a very good guy before, but the aftermath of Pincher's shined a very revealing light on the true nature of the male. As Rox likes to call him, the "yellow guy" rubs the young boy the wrong way. Something about him is not just an asshole, and Blue does not like it at all. A popular saying is that "there is always an ulterior motive," but it does not always apply to everyone, but it does to Caeser. There is an angle in there somewhere, and when Blue figures it out, he plans on doing something about it. It will have to wait, though, considering that the kid doesn't exactly know where to start when it comes to a secret investigation. He deepens the glare, only tearing his freezing gaze from Caesar when the stranger finally begins to speak.

First thing, he notices the extra set of eyes; a detail originally lost in his concentration to maintain the nonchalant facade. "Four eyes? Cool." In the manner of children, the youth casually offers his compliment with a mixture of boyish wonder and an attempt to be completely unaffected by how cool he thinks the stranger's appearance is. It's easy to not be sad when there's something to gawk at. Well, when the distraction doesn't ask about the dead father who is the reason why a distraction is needed, that is. Thankfully, the shock at someone merely looking at him and telling which family belongs to provides something else to focus on. "Uh, yeah, we are.." he stammers, mildly impressed. "I'm Blue, this is my sister, Goldie." Usually the boy is more formal when meeting people, but there are a lot of factors affecting him today. Suffice to say the kid is off his game.

Strange, how is constantly tugged between highs and lows. Low, when Caeser speaks. High, when cool looking strangers amaze his young mind. Blue is low again. Or perhaps boiling over with anger and annoyance is a better description for it. Blue imagines picking up the rock to the left of his paw. He imagines picking it up...and chucking at Caeser's stupid yellow head. Yes, that sounds wonderful. Something, anything, to shut that guy up. "Yes...our father passed away recently..." the boy trails off, desperately trying to think of something to say to keep him from making a snide comment to Caeser. Then, it clicks. "Did...did you say that Pincher is your brother?" Of course she did. But what Coldblue wants to know is where this relative came from. Not every day does a long lost aunt show up on your doorstep.

the girl glanced to both vanessa and caesar as they approached, giving a small nod to vanessa, but mostly ignoring caesar. his presence annoyed her, really, but she wouldn't start any trouble with him unprovoked. he simply asked for a name and that was a fair question, so she wasn't as outwardly hateful towards him as her brother was. goldie turned her attention back towards the stranger, eyeing her features with curiosity for a moment. she wondered what would cause the female to look like that. and she didn't mean that in a disrespectful way, she thought it was quite cool.

her wonders cut off when the female began to speak though, and instead her ears perked upward and head tilted. her dad leads this place? she narrowed her eyes for a second - not in a suspicious manner, but one of thoughtful confusion. all she knew was that papa lead the typhoon when she was born, and that's how it was until a few days ago. but then she pointed out his earring, belonging to her brother. she moved backward for a moment, lowering her head in an almost defensive manner.

her next set of words would intrigue her further, and her head lifted again at the sound of her papa's name. she was already aware that papa had many family members that she did not know. in fact, she didn't know much about papa outside of her life with him. the sound of this ocelot being his sister was not impossible to the girl and she immediately held a trusting gaze towards her as she came to terms with this. family.

her last comment would cause her to turn around, but she didn't see anything, so she brushed it off and turned her attention back to the female. she remained quiet as the others introduced themselves to rosemary, listening silently. she wondered how the female would react to news of papa. she wondered if they were close. "you knew papa?" she now questioned as soon as her brother finished speaking, her eyes glowed with interest. she seemed almost desperate for the female to spill all of her knowledge on her papa. "y-yea, we're um- i'm goldenluxury, and he's coldblue. or, goldie and blue." she figured it would be a good idea to give rosemary their full first names, to avoid confusion.
