heavy in your arms / o, introduction - Character Graveyard. - 06-19-2018 SHINE ✧ Connor — The Ascendants — Fireball
Connor was a quiet child. He preferred to hide behind Suiteheart or Margaery, as he was slightly scared of his Clanmates. He was shorter then his three siblings, so he didn't talk to them much either. Instead, he could often be looking around one of his mothers' rooms and exploring or sleeping. Currently, the tiny male had wandered far from the Observatory and he was walking along the path next to the Pebble Coast, not seeing the small group of hungry pigeons flying above him. One would scoop down and peak at him, causing him to stumble and fall. The pigeons would fly down and continue to peak at him, until someone came along. © madi

Enter Margaery, the protective mother. Curious to see where the smallest of her children had wandered off to, she had found herself near the Pebble Coast. She hadn't expected any trouble to befall dear, sweet Connor but she supposed she was wrong in such an assumption as her now-copper gaze fell upon the pigeons that had taken to bothering her boy. Without so much of a second thought, the Lunar Lieutenant lurched forward, attempting to place her much larger form over Connor with a low hiss. [color=#b14767]"Now, now, love," She would say softly, [color=#b14767]"Mother's here." Had Connor not been present, she would have delighted greatly in ripping the pigeons apart for even touching one of her brood. She wasn't quite willing to reveal that side of herself to her child though, and thus opted to merely shield him instead. [color=#b14767]"You're an awful long way from home, passioni deditus puer meus fortis," Margaery finally observed when she felt as if the danger had passed, [color=#b14767]"Adventuring?" (passioni deditus puer meus fortis - my strong willed boy) Re: heavy in your arms / o, introduction - Suiteheart - 06-20-2018 [align=center][div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 530px; min-height: 9px; font-family:; line-height: 110%; text-align: justify; padding: 20px"]"I think he's outgrown the Observatory," Suiteheart chuckled as she padded forward. Having witnessed the whole ordeal through the bond she shared with Margaery, she knew what had just happened. Worry had bloomed like an ugly flower in her chest, but the fact that Margaery had been there to save him killed the terrible seed. Her baby blues followed the flight path of the pigeons, and she hoped something would come along and dispatch them. She wasn't sure if these thoughts appeared on their own or if they arrived because Margy's ideas were always within her mind. Regardless, she accepted it easily. No one messed with her children. No one - not even dumb birds. Mother Bear was an unofficial title she wore proudly. Her gaze then swept over her smallest son, and concern dotted the oceans of her eyes. "Are you okay, mon petit cœur?" Her little heart. She hoped he was only shaken up. Luckily for Connor, the pigeons hadn't left any bite marks or scratches on his small body. When he realized that both of his mothers had scared off the pigeons, he had shook out his pelt and looked up at Margaery first, as she had shown up first. He would tense at her words and he nodded. "Yes, momma!" Then Suite had come over. Connor could seen the concern in her eyes, which had caused him to frown but he quickly smiled at her as she spoke. "I wanna see all of the territory! The Observatory is cool but I wanna explore!" © madi
Re: heavy in your arms / o, introduction - BASTILLEPAW - 06-20-2018 AND I'M JUST A DEAD MAN WALKING TONIGHT
Bastille had a strange relation to the newest children. On some level, he felt compelled to care for them in similar fashion to Pele and Sylva, though things were less black-and-white between he and Margaery compared to he and Luna. Sure, she had directly asked him to care for and love them, but she had returned so quickly that it was all awash. Was it necessary that he take special interest in them, with both mothers to care for them, with Hazel to dote on them? Was he supposed to look at them and feel fondness, like one might towards younger siblings? Maybe. [align=center]BASTILLEPRISONER — ASTRAL SERAPH — TAGSHe didn't feel much of anything, though. The kiddos were 3 months old or approximately, and he hadn't made much progress in either feeling something again or weaning himself off of his pills. He knew that Hazel had said he must, but that was easier said than done -- particularly when he could no longer feel any sense of shame for his actions. He was caught in limbo, vaguely motivated to make a change but lacking the push to get him there. He could grasp onto fleeting flickers of something, though. When the uppers were good and they mixed just right with a shot or two of vodka, he could hold onto feeling. He could look at the kids and feel fondness, protectiveness, a general will to see them happy. He could smile and tease them and make sure they were doing okay. He could look at Margy and feel some sort of regret, some need to speak to her, could remember her letter and feel it. He could look at Suiteheart and feel that low-burning anger, muted at it was; could feel the disconnect, the chill, the resolute certainty that she'd betrayed him and he had cause to keep her at a distance. He could look at Hazel and feel like he was burning. Never for long, though. His brief trials of shallow emotion were only that, and there was no guarantee that every pill he popped was going to unlock that capability for him. Today, at least, was a good day -- the buzz in his veins was a good one, let him extend a little bit beyond that apathy, let him feel a flicker of amusement as he stopped a few paces from the three, gaze on Connor. "You haven't seen the ruins yet, have you, Con? Bet those will keep you occupied for a bit," he commented, idle, gaze lifting briefly to Margy in greeting. Connor did not interact with either of Luna's children, as they were both older and taller then he was. He liked to hang out with his bigger siblings but they preferred to stay inside, it seemed. He would turn as the Seraph approached, a smile growing on his maw. He liked Bastille's presence. It was soothing to him, but he didn't know why. His face appeared to light up when the older male brought up the ruins and his small mouth opened up wide. He would look towards both of his mothers and he asked. "Can Uncle Bast show me the ruins?" © madi

[color=#b14767]"They're growing up so fast." What was she expecting though? Their birth and subsequent infancy were blurs of sorrow and death to her now, the memories things that she'd much rather forget. Time had honestly flown since that fateful day and Margaery, whether she would admit it or not, was grateful for that. Besides, a bundle of newborns couldn't explore, couldn't see the world with bright new eyes and learn their places within it. She was lucky that she hadn't missed something like this- something like seeing her smallest son ask his 'Uncle Bast' to show him the ruins. Idly, she wondered if her children knew what happened. Some of her clanmates were not as sensitive as others: word of her death following their birth could easily have spread to their impressionable ears. None of them had approached her with questions... that had to be a good sign, right? Shifting her weight, she would offer Basty a bit of a smile, silently relieved that things between them were returning to normal. [color=#b14767]"If he's up to it, love," Margaery finally responded, gray eyes falling back upon the tiny form of Connor, [color=#b14767]"I'd love to join you all too- if that's alright of course." She trusted the seraph to be alone with her son, really she did, but Margaery was ever the doting mother and wished to see her child's reaction to the City of Stars. [color=#b14767]"It's quite lovely there. Suite, do you want to join us too?" |
