THIS AIN'T A SCENE, IT'S AN ARMS RACE / open, Typhoon + Snowbound - Character Graveyard. - 06-10-2018 IF LOOKS COULD KILL ✧ Vanessa Carlysle - The Typhoon
Vanessa had been thinking about what to do for her Dealer Tryouts. Finally, it had struck her. A masquerade ball. What person wouldn't like a ball where they could hang out with their friends and have a good time? Children could also attend, of course. She had made sure that her idea was kid-friendly. She had set up the masquerade ball at the tavern. Gold-and-black balloons were floating in front of the tavern's entrance and a sign that said "masquerade ball" was hung up. Inside, there was neon lights of all kind of colors flashing. Many drinks, both alcohol and non-alcoholic, were put down on the bar. In a small corner of the room, there was a spot where anyone could play a game, though there was a bottle for spin-the-bottle. In the very heart of the tavern, there was the dance floor. Many NPCs, from both The Typhoon and Snowbound were already dancing, either alone or with a partner. A lot of the guests could be seen wearing masks over their faces, though others weren't wearing masks. An invitation had been sent out to all of The Typhoon and to the Snowbound members. It had said: Hello! If you are reading this, you have been invited to Vanessa's masquerade ball. It will be hosted at the tavern and everyone is welcomed, including little ones! There will be both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks served and food will also be served. The theme is masquerade, though it is optional. At the very end of the night, there will be a King and Queen elected as well as best dancer. © madi
Re: THIS AIN'T A SCENE, IT'S AN ARMS RACE / open, Typhoon + Snowbound - Verdigris - 06-10-2018 Paper, upon receiving the invitation earlier that day, had gone scrounging through the chest in his room to see if it happened to have a mask within its contents. Vanessa and the other organizers may or may not have been providing masks for partygoers, but he wasn't about to take his chances; optional or not, he ought to at least try to take part in the theme, since this was a competitor he was talking about here. (And a tough competitor, at that. His game of Mafia would have to go off without a hitch to compete with the bombastic entertainment of a masquerade.) Fortunately, there had been a mask of sorts in the chest, even if he had no clue what it was supposed to represent- it was gray and metallic-looking, with extensions seemingly intended to fit over the ears, and warped eyeholes with red film over them. Either way, it would work. Squinting in an effort to see more clearly, Paper entered the tavern, and immediately headed for the dance floor. This song was a tad slower than he was used to, but at least he was familiar with it, and could bounce along to the beat without it feeling unnatural. /mask ref (minus the white stuff in the back) yes, I went there |
