STANDING IN OPEN FLAME / North End Meeting 6/8 - Character Graveyard. - 06-08-2018

RED QUEEN ✧ Morrigan — High Queen — North End
It had been a few days since she had taken over North End. Her husband's men had fought back against her own, but in the end, she and her rebellion had won. The remainder of his men had been executed. She had little patience as of now, so she knew she wouldn't be happy to deal with any possible mutinies against her. She had ordered a few of her fighters to move the High King's throne to the back of the room and cover it with a black sheet.

Morrigan had ordered all of her people to the temple, where she stood in front of them. "My people, as you know, we have been living hard lives under the rule of my Husband. But today, I stand in front of you, to inform you of this. My Husband was a cruel leader. A tyrant. And now he lies six feet under the ground. Today we now know peace as his time in this world has passed."

The woman would pause before announcing. "I, Morrigan, am now your High Queen. North End will now become a Monarchy. We will leave our peaceful past behind us and our enemies will know fear if they shall face us in war. This meeting is over, though if anyone has questions, I would be glad to answer them."

His mother was a force to be reckoned with, that much he knew. He was one of few people who had experienced her wrath first-hand.

Adrian took his place beside his mother as the meeting began, already aware of the news that was about to come. He had been the first to know of his father's demise, which had been unfortunate but necessary. Really, he found it difficult to feel bad for his old man. The bastard had it coming to him. He could only hope that when the time came, he would be a better leader than his father.

He stands firm as Morrigan speaks, her voice strong as it vibrates about the large room. Murmurs ripple through the crowd once the meeting is over. He remains still, but his eyes survey the small crowd that's gathered to listen. He can sense the doubt and the tension hanging in the air, but he doesn't address it, instead staying quiet despite the urge to run his mouth, as usual.
