it's all in the past / crafts, moonlight vale - guts - 06-07-2018

//finally got this thread up hhh

Sakaris had quickly gotten bored of having nothing to do. She usually had things to occupy herself with, but lately, she didn't have much to do besides lay around and watch the adults do stuff. They always got to do all the cool stuff. Huffing, she laid her head on her paws, quietly humming to herself. Then her eyes lit up as an idea struck her.

She jumped up onto her paws and scurried off, gathering up all the supplies she could find. Sheets of paper, sticks of glue, and other materials were soon scattered across the cavern's floor. The kit took a seat among the mess, glancing around before calling out. "Arts and crafts over here!" then she settles down onto her belly, grabbing a sheet of paper and crayons before beginning to draw.

Videogames had been awfully reluctant to make Sakaris do any chores, honestly. He doesn't think he's even given the little serval literally any at all. So, yes, he'd left his daughter to her own devices. Maybe he'd have to come up with some other ideas to occupy her with, later. Videogames tried to take some time off to spend with her but. That didn't always work. He was busy. Granted, his schedule was slowly clearing, so that was neat.
Right, anyways. Videogames had been passing by the cavern on his way to do -- something or another. Videogames isn't quite sure what he's been doing himself, but it seemed to be working out, so he was content to keep not knowing what he was doing. However, Videogames' hears Sakaris' call and falters, ear twitching as he tilts his head. Did he have time to participate? ... Probably. He could spare an hour to goofing around -- all he'd been doing was clean-up so they didn't like. Scare off joiners or members or something. Granted, some had already been chased off.
"Room for one more?" Videogames chimes, beaming, as he immediately beelines over and plop next to Sakaris. He reaches his paws out to pull a few of the materials towards himself, tail thumping behind him cheerily. Videogames wasn't an artist by any means, and he could only really draw stick figures, honestly. Very sloppy stick figures. Hell, even Videogames' attempt at a map was going very poorly. Right. Anyways. With this in mind, Videogames is already doing his very very best to try. It's also going very very poorly, judging by his clumsy drawing of ... something or another. It didn't look like literally anything, ok.

Needless to say, Sakaris was pretty bummed that her father didn't spend much time with her anymore. They used to be close, and now it felt like they might be drifting apart..but it was okay! She understood that he was busy, so she couldn't hold it against him. She was just proud of what he was doing for their little rag-tag group. He was a leader, and in the child's mind, that was pretty freaking cool.

She lit up when she saw him, happy that he wanted to join in. She nodded her head quickly at his question and then continued to draw her own picture as he started his own. After a few moments of silence and the sound of crayons on paper, she grinned, holding up her piece of paper for the larger serval to see. Of course, it wasn't the best, but it was eligible at least. It was of them against a blue sky, the sun peeking out from one of the corners, the two of them standing in what looked to be a plain of grass. "Do you like it, daddy?"

the word daddy feels so dirty now alsjdgsdhf

STAND BY ME ✧ Roxas — Moonlight Vale — Scholar
Roxas hadn't been doing anything for the few hours he been awake, so he had decided to walk over to Videogames and Sakaris- after he had heard the young female's call for arts-and-crafts. He would take a seat next to his mentor and look at the female's drawing.

"That looks nice." Roxas would say to Sakaris, before he pulled a paper close to him and he picked up a small handful of crayons and he started to color his page.
