new face, new place - Zuriela - 11-03-2024

The woman had left a lot behind. She had to. Each step was desperate to flee the things of her past. She had a young life to take care of. Someone to protect from the things this world had to offer. To protect from the things she suffered. It was only a year ago when it started. The storm..
She had gotten lost only to find him. He offered help. He offered safety. He took her with him and she was taken from the dangers. He took her to safety and she let him. She let him fool her. She fell for him. He took her powers after their cub was born and left her trapped like this. In her own body, but trapped. The abuse. The pain. She hid their cub from it all. She protected their fragile child. She suffered.
Then he left them there. He left and she grabbed her little 2 month old and fled. She feared his wrath. She feared him. She had no choice but to run and never stop. Where could she go? Who would even know her? She had no one. She had nothing. So she was running even now. Battered, bruised, and carrying her tiny child in her jaws. The young snow leopard might not look like her in body, but they had wings. She had the horn. Even the fire.
Anyone could tell this was her child. Even just from the desperation in her eyes. She was lost and scared. She just wanted a home. She just wanted to feel safe. She just wanted her cub to be free of him. So she ran. Not knowing where she was until she couldn't anymore. Collapsing in a puddle, she shivered in the cold. Keeping her cub held high despite her exhausted look. She twisted to drop her child onto a dry patch of her own fur before her head fell with a splash into the waters.
She could breath, but she just couldn't run anymore.

Bloodstone was nothing more than a dark shadow overhead, flying high above the territory. Gods, leading was extremely hard - she could see why Nord needed a break.
Three eyes turned downward as she spotted the fox and.. snow leopard cub? Alright, she'd seen weirder. With a low cry, she descended.
When she landed, her neck curled like a vulture as she inspected Zuriela from a distance, nose wrinkling. "Where did you come from..?"
She knew Nord's thoughts on outsiders, and her own thoughts on outsiders. Granted, those thoughts were often influenced by sanguine hunger.

The mother struggled to her feet. Ears flicking back as she tried to move to defend her child. Yet, her weak frame failed her. Causing her to collapse upon the ground with a small splash. She heard the question and she tried to speak in turn. Maw opening to weakly offer a reply. "Loner lands.. Running.. Seeking a home.." She was winded from the words as she lay there. Helpless to this strangers will.

The cub was scared, but not for herself. She nosed at her mother as she lay there. Eyes stinging from tears as she tried to get her up. Wobbling on her little paws. She would turn her eyes to the stranger and fluff up her little pelt nervously. Yet, her moms voice distracted her from her fear. Eyes flicking to her mom and a faint sigh of relief escaping her.
