It seemed that the only sentient creature awake in the coming twilight was a dark feline that laid upon the waste of the fountain that sat in the midst of the village, it's crumbled facade cool from long shadows through the day. An ear flicking as a cruel blue eye opened in the growing gloom in response to the voice that spoke. From the big cat's back a crow alighted, the hooded avian releasing a rough cry as it flapped its wings in flight, swooping towards their ursine visitor. A low whistle came from the big cat as it stood to it's paws, dark fur bristling as he stretched and yawned, stepping down from the fountain as the crow swooped back to it's perch on his shoulder.

"We're home, don't you worry, stranger. What can we of Tanglewood do for you?" came the deep honey-smooth growl as the big cat stepped forward, revealing himself as a bigger-than-average lion with a sparse dark scruff of a mane. Looking the bear over, he exhaled, "Name's Aesior. I'm the leader of this place.", he offered his name in limited conversation, his visage as savage looking as his bloodline would suggest.
