After a successful sparring session, Meteor was taking a respite by a barrel of water. An elemental had iced it in half like a half-moon, allowing for a cold drink without the need to push ice cubes around. Meteor hated dealing with floating ice cubes.

He lifted his head and stepped out of the line, shaking his waterlogged face and mane.

As he scanned the crowd looking for another to grind into dust, he spotted Claw. She looked about five seconds away from a meltdown. And that would be interesting, wouldn’t it?

“Claw, is it?” Meteor called. His long strides as a lion easily caught up to the tiny cat. “I also find myself without an opponent.” His golden eyes gleamed; the inquisitor’s tone had not left an inch for questioning.
