ONLY SCARS REMAIN OF WHO I WAS!
His soul was immortal. That, he knew. That, he relied on when times got tougher. His body could die, and he could simply return in a new one. But not all souls were immortal. That, he knew. That, he feared. Because someone could die and never come back. Someone could be ripped from the mortal coil and never get a grasp on it again. As a god, he feared death. Not for him. but for those he loved. It would be no different now.

His soul had been a burning fire, a purple blaze. Theirs, a more delicate blaze. Theirs, a gentle spark. So easily squashed underfoot. His was a wild fire, untamed, uncontrollable. His anger was his soul. His anger was his wildfire. His anger was his strength. As a god, he loved his anger. As a father, he hated it. As a lover, he despised it. But in the end, he was a God, above all else.

His vision flashed before him, and with it every agony, every emotion, every memory, followed. The realization that he was without an anchor, without his beloved Saturn. But they had come back before, right? They had returned, yes? So why? Why was he starting to cry?

Who were these lion cubs and this lioness, who consoled him like a family member? Who were they?

His own actions would have scared him had it not occurred after he witnessed his own lover's slaughter. He threw the cubs aside, and much to his irk, he could not hear the mother's anguished cries and pleas, begging him to do... something. He could not tell. And has his hearing came to, he saw her stagger back, and he let his deep fuchsia mane fall over his dark face. He had just taken over a body, hadn't he?

He stamped the newly formed back hooves into the ground a few times, and swung his head to feel the weight of the curved horns atop his head. Ran his tongue over his newly formed canines and tusks. He took a few steps forward, fire curling around him and before long, his vision ran red.

When the red faded, he was doused in blood, the bodies of the lions before him. He stared for a while, glowing eyes wide and unfeeling. Where would their souls go? Would they be together? Would they see Saturn? The questions rolled in his head, but he simply shrugged. Setting fire to the corpses, he sauntered off. He had to find The Coalition.
