Seven had immediately taken to helping Ares, providing food, water, and some medical treatment for the now-growing problem of Ares picking at her wing feathers. Lavender and some balm to ease the itchiness of the sites. And after some very stern looks from the Regent, Ares had settled for sticking around her house.

The deinonychus, once so terrifying to her, had become her usual vessel. As painful as it was to think about, it was the only body she was comfortable around, the one that her beloved had seen past. Soft pawsteps approached Seven's home, tired eye falling upon the curled up form of his adopted daughter. It was true that months, perhaps a year had passed since she had lost herself and lashed out. So much time had passed since he had been injured trying to stop her from hurting others, and though his back still at times gave him issue, he had long ago forgiven her and healed. In that same accursed cheetah body, he now approached with a soft chuff of breath, "Ares?"
