They were lost.
Having never left their caves, given the first opportunity, the twins had taken the chance.
They had no knowledge of the Other's world.

Nokron had been almost in awe as he felt grass in his paws for the first time.
Nokstella, however, had been far more entranced by the feeling of sand under paw.

In fact, that's what the two had been arguing about, sat in a small clearing, bickering back and forth like a bunch of teenagers. Though, one would suppose that's what they are. It seemed all in good fun, for the most part, though evidently, Nokstella had more on her mind than she let on. She grew more concerned by the second, looking around and realizing that every pathway looked exactly the same, and... Were their pawsteps gone?

Of course, the marshlands had swallowed their trail; though, that did not explain the strange scent on the wind.
Her hair began to raise along her spine, ears sticking straight up atop the crown of her head.
Nokron, far stupider than his slightly older twin sister, had yet to notice, and thus kept blabbering on about the grass.

The sound of arguing had roused him from where he was resting. He was finally recovering from his 'punishment and he was rather bored. Why would he be bored, you might ask. It was simple. He needed to hurt others to enjoy life. He stalked closer until he spotted what he had been hearing. Eyes finding two canines and a sick smile dancing on his maw.

New toys for him to chew on? What a delight this was. He noted they were much larger, so he hatched a plan. Body shifting into an Irish Wolf Hound. He was larger and in charge, as far as he was concerned. The male was still blabbering on as he lurched forward. He would yank the male away from his sibling, or girlfriend, or whatever she was, by he shoulder.

Razor sharp teeth buried in the flesh he could taste blood and it thrilled him. He would toss his head, hard, to slam the male down before bringing his paws down hard on the other canine. A snarling growl leaving him as he shot his head forward to rip into the canines other shoulder. Putting all his weight onto the other until he heard the crack. He would step back and smirk coldly as he lowered his head to take a paw into his maw.

Bitting down and shaking his head until he heard the same crunch. The moment he let go he would leap away and turn to face the female. If the male got up, he would put him back in the dirt. Then again, he doubted the male was going to do much now. The female was a threat still and he bared his bloody fangs at her. Studying her with mild interest. Would she put up a fight? Probably. That would be fun.

So he lunged forward. Attempting to grab her by the ear with his maw. Wanting to shred it if he could.

Nokron barely had time to react before the larger dog leapt at him.
His ears were still ringing in his head when he felt his shoulder crunch, and he screamed.
He attempted to claw and bite at whatever he could, but Nokron had never been a proficient fighter; he was the healer of the two twins, even.
He yelled again as the other dog took his paw in his mouth and, with a mighty snap, fire burned through the veins in his limbs all the way up to his shoulder.
His ribs were aching, as well, though he continued to try to rake his claws down the other male's face as much as he could; his apparent broken paw was an issue.

And then he was thrown aside, and he scrambled backwards away from the ensuing fight.

Nokstella, instead, took his place, and he breathed a sigh of relief as he slipped into the underbrush to lick his wounds.

Nokstella ducked quickly, barely managing to avoid the bite to her ear. She bared her teeth and leapt, faking a left and then swiftly diving to the right, attempting to sweep the wolfhound's paws from under him so she could burrow her teeth into his shoulder.

Gerald had bite and claw marks on his face and shoulders, but it hardly bothered him. Pain was something he rather enjoyed. The woman, faster than her brother, had dodged him though. This annoyed him and he turned to her again in time to see her go left. He braced, but his paws were swept as he was not expecting her direction change. He couldn't help but laugh. A cold sound as her teeth met his shoulder.

Laughter cut short as he twisted to attempt to kick her in the stomach. This was his attempt to remove her from him. He finally had a fight on his paws and he was thrilled. Was that weird? Perhaps. He couldn't help what he liked. He was a strange beast. If he knocked her away he would roll back to his feet. Leaping a few feet away and shaking some blood droplets from his face.

Ah. You know how to play. Much better. He offered in a weird complimentary way. His fangs still bared in a twisted growl-smile.
