golden crown of sorrow ; open, joining - ALYSANNE. - 03-05-2023 At last, here she was. Her hooves dug into the ground as she trod carefully across the outer edge of the island, eyeing the surrounding terrain, waiting for any sign of life. The three eyed deerwolf wasn’t stupid, as much as she looked small and unassuming; she knew there would be someone there to find her, and more than likely, they would not be friendly. She was prepared for a fight, though hoped it wouldn’t come to that; she had other plans. She didn’t speak, purple eyes flickering in all different directions, searching for signs of movement. She lingered at the edge of the island; there was no scent line, of course there wasn’t. Nobody seemed to know they were there, why would they need borders? Two paws and two hooves hit the black sands as Meteor walked parallel to the waves. Seafoam hit his left paw and hoof, a welcome respite from the setting sun’s heat. The ocean’s breeze was weak today, playing with his mane like a friend instead of tossing it to and fro like an enemy. He had started his walk for meditative self-reflection, but he spotted the deerwolf and instantly his goal for the next thirty minutes changed. He could hunt her down and eat her, but… he’d already partaken in supper, and the lion couldn’t eat even a rabbit. Still, a full stomach wouldn’t stop him from killing. “Do you know where you are, little hybrid?” Meteor asked. His voice was not loud, but the ocean couldn’t drown him out. “Or are you a tourist looking for entertainment?” She looked to wimpy to survive long in the fight pits, but he lived for surprises. Meteor's eagerness for a fight was unsurprising. If she knew anything about the Descendants, it was that some of them were bumbling, bloodthirsty buffoons. Still, if she was to stay here, she would have to get used to the 'dumb and muscly' trope; nothing she'd never dealt with before. "Unfortunately for you, lovely, I know quite where I am." she hummed, pit-pattering from one hoof to another, all three eyes sizing up the lion. "Or maybe it's fortunate for you, you'll never know." she snickered, cocking a sly half-grin. "I'd like to speak to whomsoever can grant me permission to join. Be that you or someone of more... Caliber." Maybe she had a death wish. Or maybe, if you were looking for a more simple answer, she simply was not afraid of the beast. She may look small to him, but she was neither weak nor stupid, and frankly had more experience in combat than most would think upon first glance. DEATH IS RIDING INTO TOWN WITH ARMOR THEY COME TO GRANT YOU YOUR RIGHTS! The tiger was next to approach, coming from inland. His ashen black fur, decorated in black stripes dusted with gold, covered his muscled body quite well. His silver eyes looked to his brother, ears flicking as Hugo listened to Alysanne. Unlike his Inquisitor brother, Hugo hadn't had his dinner yet. And he was getting antsy. "Well, aren't you cocky, little lady." He chuckled deeply, his voice rich and low. [b]"What's your name, hm?"

Alys was almost getting tired of people calling her little, and she most certainly was not a lady. That was insulting and beneath her, quite frankly. She flickered her main two eyes over to the tiger, obviously itching for something to eat; he seemed to think food would be her, and he would be sorely mistaken. A lion and a tiger would be a challenge, one she hadn't faced before, but his training would come in handy. She could pull it off if she was smart enough. "Alysanne Waynewood." She offered, keeping her seer eye on Meteor. "Though I take it you're not the someone of more caliber that I was insinuating." Perhaps it was her that was itching for a fight. She was, truthfully; why else would she grace the Departed's sands with her divine presence? She'd surely get her wish from these, and as long as she did, she could keep her temper in check with the residents. Maybe. Re: golden crown of sorrow ; open, joining - METEOR - 03-30-2023 METEOR

The golden-horned lion smirked and chuckled once. When he couldn’t tell if someone was brave or foolish, that always amused him; those sort always chose interesting options. Regardless if she died or thrived on their island, he’d enjoy her presence. “You’re correct, Alysanne, my brother isn’t the most successful of our parents’ offspring.” Meteor’s smirk revealed a fang as he glanced at Hugo, wondering if he could tease the other into entertaining him. Then he looked back at Alysanne as he finished his quip. “I hope, for your sake, you’re as clever as you think you are.” He inclined his head in a polite greeting, but his bright eyes and smirk never faded. “As the second-in-command of this cannibalistic cult, I welcome you to our island. My name is Meteor Prometheus.” |
