Everybody gonna trip ;; lost child - tanglewoodian - 03-05-2023

lost. Alone. Scared.

Things the young owlbear hybrid felt as he stumbled out into the open. Parts of his shell still clinging to his damp pelt. He moved slightly before letting out a sound that was some sort of mix between a chirping baby bird and a bear cups squeak.

He was hungry and tired. He wanted someone. Anyone. He was just a child and his parents were long gone. Where could they be? Where was he even. The baby simply flopped to his belly. Legs to shaky and tired. Hoping his parents answered his cries.

He knew he shouldn't be out and about but the Luminary could not bear to keep himself confined within Seven's house any longer, his mind drifting to the series of dreams he had encountered while he was out. Inhaling as he took steps, testing the ground with each step it seemed. It was a challenge to get used to only having one eye, his depth perception was horribly skewed as a result and it was so deeply frustrating for him. He couldn't see anything on his left side anymore, leading to him having to swing his head further around if he wanted to see what was on his left. A frown on his face, the Luminary lifted his head and came to a stop, staring around as he heard a child's cry. Tail switching side to side as the lion stood rooted to the spot, ears swiveling until he managed to locate the source.

Headed in Owlsen's direction, he arrived not long after before the baby hybrid with an expression of surprise. Lifting his head at a call from his crow companion, the dark bird settling on his shoulder. Breathing out, the lion would lower his nose to the child, "Little one?"

The child heard footsteps and then, a soft voice. As the larger beast lowered their head to him the baby chirped in turn. Was this the parent he sought? It had to be. Why else would they greet him so nicely? So what did the baby owlbear do? He lifted his little beaked face to try and touch his nose back to Aesior's own. The half chirp half squeak noises leaving him were of happiness. Finding comfort in the other.
