the last time she had been here shit had hit the fan. now with tensions running high between the typhoon and tanglewood, as displayed so dramatically in the previous meeting, she wasn't even sure why romulus decided to send her out here, knowing her history. she learnt her lesson from last time, though, and decided to linger at the border, sitting on the coalition's side waiting for somebody to arrive. she absentmindedly pawed through the pouch she had brought - it was just a demonstration of what the coalition had to offer in trade for materials. trinkets glistened beneath the sun, catching the reflecting light in her optics, and a soft smile formed on her maw. she just wished alexandre wasn't here again.

A kinder soul would find her first. Gliding down to land before the other. Malpomene would tuck her wings in. Tail swishing as she dipped her head. "Greetings. What can i do for you?" She asked in a calm voice. The regal liger standing there to await others or her answer. Depending.

the first to arrive was a woman, descending from the skies. she offered a nod, returning malpomene's greeting. "hello. my name is inferno, and i am the ambassador for the coalition of the condemned. i have brought some flowers and herbs from the coalition, in hopes of trading for weapons or materials from the typhoon." she spoke, the sentence short but quickly getting to the point.

The words made her flinch and she took a soft breath. Collecting herself and offering a soft smile once more. The was was a rough topic for the angel. Not that she would say that outloud. "I am not sure what was broght back from there to trade, but i can trade weapons. I have some, mostly daffers and a few swords. I dont know if that is what you are seeking?"
That last word was a question, really. She wanted to see if these weapons would be fine. She had four daggers and two swords she collected in her younger days. All of which she was willing to let go.

she responded that she did have some weapons inferno could trade for, and excitement swirled in her optics. she wasn't quite sure what a daffer was, nor was romulus clear in what to trade for, but these seemed alright enough. the female nodded. "that does sound like it, yes, thank you." she trailed off awkwardly, unsure if she was going to be met with hostility once she stepped into typhoonian territory again. she wanted to ask how the typhoon were doing, because she had family there, but she was unfamiliar to the current events and how bad everyone was.

Rosemary’s forked tail flicked irritably as she wandered over. With all the chaos happening—Alex captured, Sherbet maimed—her workload had quadrupled. It was horrible to be down a soothsayer while trying to fight a war, especially adding in random attacks to the mix.
“Thanks for the herbs,” Rosemary mumbled. She didn’t bother to look inside yet; she’d have enough busywork to do with preparing them for either dry storage or immediate use in ointments.
“I saw several of your own were attacked in the meeting. Are you sure you can spare the medical supplies?” Rosemary tilted her own head as she sighed. “I’m currently dealing with an amputation and everyone knows how horribly prone to infections those are, I’m burning all my antibiotics. Obviously it's worth it to keep infection from setting in, but... ugh, frustrating. Your herbs will definitely help me out.”

Rosemary came and Mel left her to talk a moment. Returning with the swords and daggers. She would place them upon the ground before Inferno and step back. Eyes flicking to Rosemary. She felt for the woman and was glad that she had Claypso to at least try to help her. Sure, Calypso had things to learn but she was trying.

rosemary, someone inferno knew of only by name. still, a greeting was given, a curt nod from the female. face darkening as rosemary commented on the state of the coalition, then blabbered on about them dealing with an amputation - this was news that inferno took in with a flick of an ear. interesting. mel came back, dropping some weapons on the ground. inferno let her gaze sweep over them, allowing the metals to catch her eyes. a satisfied hum left the woman and she nodded at mel. "we have a way of growing our herbs, so i have brought what we can spare, rosemary. i hope whoever has received the amputation will get better soon. and mel, thank you. these will be very useful indeed." she gently nudged the bag with the plants forward.

Rosemary nodded and took the bag of herbs. She glanced at Mel and nodded with a slight smile. After all, these herbs were only hers because of the other’s weapons.
The ocelot turned back to the Coalitioner. Her forked tail-tips curled; she didn’t like that Inferno hadn’t avoided her question, and seemed to try to keep the conversation on her patient. “Thank you for the trade. Do you need an escort back to your territory?”

rosemary looked slighty wary but inferno made no comment about that. she was just here to trade herbs and not information, but the more she gathered on the typhoon the better, she supposed. she stretched, shaking out her fur, and as rosemary asked whether she needed an escort back to her territory she shook her head. "thank you for the offer, but i will decline this time. i know this territory well and by the time alexandre gets sent out i will have been long gone." she knew the way she came from and if she retraced her steps she would be out quickly.
