I used to hear a simple song
that was until you came along- ꧂
Saturn had never been the type to go easily, especially now that they had a family. They never wanted to leave them, to leave their oh so young kids to fend for themselves without a parent around. But life seemed to have a different plan.

They had slipped out of their home during the night, blindly making their way across the camp. They had only meant to go out for a walk, get some fresh air and then return back home. Byriath hadn’t been in bed and they hoped to run into him while out and about.

Then they heard the snap of a twig, their head snapping in every direction trying to find who was there. Then their body was forced to the ground, a much larger form keeping them pinned before dragging them off. The only thing that was left was their necklace with their wedding ring on it, no other trace of the snow leopard could be found.

꧁ - Now in its place is something new
I hear it when I look at you

Dad was gone and the child was wandering home to find her mother. Nesraa would not find such comfort. No. The child would see a glint of something and when she got closer, she knew. Mom was gone and she let out a weak squeak. Grabbing the necklace and collapsing on the ground. Sobbing as she clung to the wedding ring that was her mother's. She would not let anyone take it from her. Not until her mother was home and could have it back.
