Anyone who had even remotely gotten close to Byriath knew that he was not a push over. He never stood down or ran unless it was absolutely necessary. And if he ever had to, he'd definitely make it known he didn't run just to run. He would fight, kick, yell, curse, anything to make sure others knew he wasn't going willingly.
It had been dark when he was taken. Sure signs of struggle, blood splashes, torn branches, scorched ground. Perhaps, in the gouged earth, the dug up ground, there was a hint of what was going on in his mind. Panic? Anger? It could have been anything.

Odysseus wasn’t sure what was happening. She woke up to both of her parents gone and that alone concerned the girl. Sure she was used to waking up to papa being gone but he always came back and mama was always here or sometimes uncle plexus. But now it was just her and the other kids.
She wandered out of the home, following the scent of her dad. Slowly she made her way to the clearing where he had last been but he was no where to be found. Her gaze stared at the marks in the ground, body trembling lightly before looking up to where the tracks led to. “Dad?”

"Dad...?" the child followed swiftly, paws clambering after his sister, breaths coming in ragged bursts. His father always wanted him to be strong, and his mother always wanted him to be kind. He was too young for them to leave -- Nesraa, Odysseus, they all were too young for it.
Something glinted in a nearby bush, and as Theseus walked over he saw the chain and ring. His breath caught in his throat and he tentatively took it in his paws. "No..."

Did she have the words to cope with this? Paws guiding her over to the side of her siblings. Ears slamming back as she looked at the blood. Looking at her siblings. She felt blood rushing in her ears. The poet was silent. The words wouldn't come. The tears, on the other hand, did. Dripping on the ground as her face turned away from her siblings.

Odysseus stood there stunned, unable to find the words to speak. And then all she felt was anger. And nothing else. Her gaze drifted over towards Nesraa when she fell over, sneering at the sight. “Stop crying it’s annoying,” she snapped before turning away. She was angry and the emotion was bubbling out of her. She couldn’t find any other way to let it out other than snapping at her siblings. And so she did and then the Xenosmilus walked away, not saying anything else and not stopping for anyone even if they called to her.
