it was wandering. aimless and ever shifting. one minute he was a chameleon. the next a cat. always the same dull brown and sliver white. always peering with pale blue eyes. it moved slowly as if uncertain. eyes always watching as his janky form edged closer. it was clear the thing had no control over it's power. the mimic moved to the boarder and stopped moving. it was not sure it would be welcome. it was worried it would be attacked.
