Sometimes, he questioned himself more than reality. Today was one of those times.

There was a rhyme and reason for everything but his reason was unclear and his rhyme skewed. Heavy paws made for slow progress in a snow-bogged clearing but he didn't seem to pay that much attention to where he was. He had come out this way for something, though he knew his Tanglers would have his head, more specifically, Seven would have his head. He knew he was ill, he could feel it in the way his lungs rattled and he had to cough several times to clear his throat. Yet, he was never one to let a cold stop him, though he had no clue of what exactly he was doing out here in this god-forsaken frozen hell. Coughing as his breath amassed around his face, misting his fur in a fine layer of frost around his muzzle and freezing sensitive whiskers in a bowed position. Shaking himself and drawing his haphazardly mended rabbit fur cloak about himself, the Luminary would gaze about the rather empty expanse around himself with a removed glance.

Shifting freezing paws in place, claws sheathing and unsheathing as he fought to keep his balance against a gale, sniffing and shaking his head at the cold air the action brought into his lungs. It was too cold to travel, and it brought too many ancient memories back to the surface. This was nothing compared to the ancient winters he had struggled through with his now-deceased partner. It wasn't something he wanted to remember, though he could do with the comfort of his body nearby. Lifting his head with a mighty snort and groan, yawning as more mist clouded his muzzle, making a sour expression in answer to the unpleasant feeling. Adjusting his body under his cloak, his head whipped around as he swore he heard the sound of paws through the wind, gray-ish eyes narrowing as he flicked his tail nervously. Whoever was following him or in the snow path he had made, surely wasn't one of his groupmates. Maybe it was someone from the past? He was close enough to the first territory he had lived in, where the remnants of his forge rested to be taken by nature again. He'd already moved the equipment but there were memories he could not move from this place.

they were quick to recognize the devil in me.
