That was her own fault, she let things get ahead of her. And god, if Olalla wasn't a good motivator. Almost directly after the meeting, she had met with the NPC group that had formed for the construction, wrote down the blueprints, and agreed to meet up at the spot early in the morning. "Alright, let's get this started." She barked, wings flicking and moving as she looked at the blueprints. The early dawn was cool. and therefore the perfect time to start. "We start with the wooden beams, if you need a reference, the blueprints will be right here. I'll be helping where I can, so if you need me, just holler." And with that, the group of NPCs started working, hauling lumber toward the front right of the plot. Systematically she joined in, getting beams up, moving boards into place. A few of the crew, however, were slacking. "Stop lousing about, it's not even noon yet. Get the supports up and then you can take a break." She rumbled, waiting near them before they finally got enough of her presence to keep working. She heard a few giggles and snorted, before going back to supervising. The sun was steadily climbing up the sky, and the air was warming, but so far it didn't seem like anyone would drop from the heat yet. THEN I'LL RAISE YOU, LIKE A PHOENIX! Kold Darcia Di Angelo - Marauder of The Pitt - 3 year, 8 months Re: YOU'VE GOT NOWHERE ELSE TO GO // WELCOME CENTER/HOMELESS SHELTER 1/2 - ASMODEUS DI-ANGELO - 11-23-2022 "natus vincere" ✭ asmodeus ── after having burnt down a house he presumed he might as well hep build the welcome center. in his opinino the homeless shelter seemed stupid, every pittian had a place here, no? it was their own fault if they couldn't secure a house. just build one. he walked next to kold and watched the npcs work before joining in, careful not to set any more things on fire. he heard the giggles and ignored them, they were for kold and for kold only. he didn't care in gossip - it didn't matter to him at all. gossip just was bad for mental health and it was best he didn't mix himself into any of it.

In truth, Olalla could - should - have been doing anything else but he enjoyed watching Kold stress over the delinquents assigned to her. He enjoyed watching Kold. The beast padded over to the area where the blueprints had been displayed, looking over them with a careful eye while tracing over the measurements with a claw before turning around to watch the team do what should have been done almost a month ago. Olalla's frows burrowed as Jormungand's son slunk over in his usual fashion, and yet his father was nowhere to be found after the meeting. He grumbled a bit before looking over the blueprints once more. Asmodeus was odd to him, but Olalla didn't let that stop him from enjoying his time in the Pitt. The behemoth paraded over to the team, hoisting up a wooden beam into its position, ducking quickly as a bundle of planks swayed in front of him. Olalla continued to help build the Centre, taking care of the higher places that needed taken care of. This was unexpected. But very much appreciated. Asmodeus, Olalla, PurplePixie, Jormungand. She listed their names in her head and made the note to thank them after all this personally. A warm smile rested upon her face and she glanced to her father, nodding to him. Seeing him and Asmodeus work almost in sync was quite mesmerizing. Her gaze rested on Olalla and she had to redirect it to the sky, lest she found herself staring. But it was nice to see him feeling well enough to help. It certainly helped with getting the second story of the building up. But she let her gaze wander again, though the sun was climbing higher. Soon they'd take a break. PurplePixie was an enigma -- she'd never seen someone who happy to help build a structure. But she was very grateful for the effort the other put in. And a joyous attitude never hurt anyone -- hell, maybe it would help with morale. With the sun climbing closer to midday, the councilwoman tried to busy herself with the work. She darted from group to group, helping where it was needed. It could be considered amusing to see her duck under Olalla's legs to get around to his other side to grab a plank, or see her struggling to reach a high beam, but she worked with quite the energy.
