The cloudy night hid many things. The shines of predator eyes and sometimes the mysterious glow of mutated creatures were the only things that dared expose themselves when all was coated in shadow. Their white paws seemed a very deep grey as they walked, spindly legs moving with an eerie grace. The creature was the size of a deer, and from a distance could be mistaken for one.

It lowered it's head down, black fabric flowing as it did, and sniffed the grass. Damp, as though it had recently rained. It would explain the dreary skies. But the creature kept its head lowered, pretending to graze along the floor. It even pulled grass from their roots and shuffled around, but halted as noise echoed from it's left side. It raised it's wolfish head up, nose twitching. It snorted and lowered it's head, but angled itself toward the left.
