her garden was her safe space and everyone that was in the pitt knew they could find her in that greenhouse. she was there even now, tending roses like clock work. weeding, watering, pruning. checking moisture, temperature. she was always working in that garden like her life depended upon its health. to her, it very well did. these roses were not for show or comfort. she needed these to live. she ate them. it was the only food she could eat.

perhaps that was weird, but it was what it was. she did what she had to do to stay alive. especially now with boy to look after from time to time. she liked the kid. he called her auntie and she was not going to give up on life now. the bandaged woman finally watered her last rose bush and let out a soft sigh. turning to look about a moment before frowning. she really did not want to leave this space. yet, there was nothing left to do.
