charcoal | hunting, trespassing - Dazir - 09-10-2022

The child moved like a shadow through the dense foliage, her dark form well hidden. Glowing blue eyes squinted, scanning the landscape for anything she would consider palatable. She wanted to eat something other than croaking frogs that littered the boggy swamplands of tanglewood. The one boar she'd come across must have been a rarity because it was difficult for her to find anything like that again. Her tongue flicked out of her mouth, rasping against the side of her lip once she spotted a camel dipping its head down to take a drink from a nearby pool of water. Carefully the former gladiator made her way towards the edge of her cover, cold eyes watching as he mentally calculated her assault. Thick chorded musculature tensed and like the snap of a taunt bow she launched herself forward.

Startled, the camel whipped around galloping as fast as it could upon the hot gritty sand. Due to its long limbs it was slowly gaining more ground and before long would have given Dazir the slip had it not been for a torrent of blue flames lapping at it's legs. Stumbling from the attack, Dazir took the opportunity to push herself further. Eventually she was able to latch onto the camel and use the combination of her weight and her stinging, venomous tails to claim the herbivore for herself. Winded from the chase and the struggle to wrestle the camel to the ground she stared at her prey before taking a seat. Too bad there was not food like this in tanglewood.
