IF LOOKS COULD KILL ✧ Vanessa Carlysle - The Typhoon
After walking away from Wade and all of them, Nessa had headed straight to the tavern. She had heard of it's location from a few NPCs who had been a tad bit kind to her. Maybe it was because she was good-looking, maybe it was something else. The black wolf did not care much for her appearance. She could be ugly and she wouldn't give a shit about it.

The female had entered the tavern, heading straight for the bar area, her blue-eyes showing a bit of amazement at the sight of the large barrels of rum. She was impressed, even though it didn't seem that way in her eyes. Vanessa would take a seat and look at the NPC who was passing out drinks to others. "Pass me a glass of rum, yeah?" She asked, blinking as the glass was slid over to her in a quick heartbeat.

Before she knew it, a few taller NPCs had walked up from behind her and started talking-and-flirting with her. Discomfort had made its way onto her delicate features and her ears had pinned to the back of her head.

Re: sympathy for the devil / open - ARGUS - 06-02-2018

[align=center]

SOMEBODY SHOWED YOU ALL OF THE HORROR-
YOU WEREN'T BORN WITH IT!
[div style="background-color:#BG COLOR;width:90%; overflow: stretch;text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt;color: #E0EEEE;"] Argus tended to drink alone mostly because she didn't get drunk at all when she did drink, and she needed to be when the questions started flying about the whys. She was in the typhoon to help, and to be a welcoming part of society, sure. But there was only a good amount of tolerance she could handle on her backstory, if any at all. The only way someone could learn a anything from her was when she committed something offhandedly. Her history was so expansive and interchangeable and she wasn't a fan of listening to other's judgement on it. And gods if she didn't sound old saying that, but technically she was, she lost count of ehr actuall age, if her current body was a good two years kickstart on it.

That wasn't to say that she didn't visit the tavern. If nothing else she visited to steal some of the expansive alcohol supply from the community to go drink herself tipsy. She sometimes went in to pester the bartender in telling her what the hell was the the jungle juice they always served to the newbies- argus being one of the first to fall victims to the typhoon's "entrance ceremonies". Today she didn't have much of a reason, coming after a pair of joiners she stepped in  under the guise of checking the weapon stash he stored in one of the barrels- when she spotted the newcommer... Vanessa being harassed by a few Npcs.

Argus was not stupid nor blind. Vanessa was pretty and argus while she competently swinged that way was not looking for any sort of romance or fling at the moment. She was more convinced the black wolfett was with the other half of the joining pair- Wade, if nothing else. She could see the discomfort on the other's expression as she entered the pub, and it made argus all the more defensive.

So the officer did what she was good at. Argus was decidedly an intimidating presence without trying to be. All dark and brooding and dangerous. She had scares and red eyes and white fur that showed clearly how messy her eating habits were. She never went to the length of letting the blood dry on her, but she always had a few dots of whatever she ate the night before somewhere. She sat down on the other side of the newbie. Bringing her large wing to shadow the other's back- hopefully cutting off the attention of the other NPC's. She planned to turn and level them a very dangerous glare. Full of silent threat that they would be made into mincemeat and feed to the fishes.

" You alright Vanessa?" The officer turned her attention after they left or hopefully backed down, Pulling her wing away from behind the other and offering a apologetic grin towards the other.

[font=trebuchet ms]Paper attended the tavern often, but rarely drank, and only imbibed small amounts when he did drink. After his last adventure with alcohol had gotten him involved in an ill-fated attempt to start a boy-band with Pincher and Ilijas, he was not especially eager to embarrass himself like that again (though he did think he could become fairly skilled with the keyboard, if he practiced enough). The buzz of mild inebriation was pleasant enough, but he had no intention of going beyond that ever again. No, more often he preferred to just take in the nightlife, and occasionally eavesdrop on others’ drunken conversations. He rarely learned anything that could be used to actually destroy someone (or just their reputation), but even the more mundane tidbits were either intriguing or funny enough that he didn’t care.

Tonight, he happened to be listening in on a few regulars speculating about Daphne (specifically the former quartermaster), when he spotted out of the corner of his left eye a group of people harassing Vanessa. With a sigh, he got up and walked over, eyes narrowing. Argus had already sat down and shielded Vanessa by the time he reached them, but he joined the Officer in glaring at the offenders. ”If they don’t go away, I’ll ‘escort’ them out,” he whispered to Argus and Vanessa. What value was there in harassing someone smaller than you? One could make an argument that they were asserting their authority, but these people had no authority whatsoever; and it proved nothing about their strength or courage, just that they were jerks.

Re: sympathy for the devil / open - CAESAR CIPHER. - 06-09-2018

REIGN HAVOC FROM ABOVE !
CAESAR CIPHER. MALE. THE TYPHOON. PRIVATEER.
Caesar enjoyed going to the Tavern, if only to watch the chaos ensue as everybody got drunk and went after one another. So to say he wasn't here was a big understatement, although he didn't particularly care what was going on with Vanessa.

"You're making a big deal out of nothing." The demon commented as he clumsily made his way over (so he had a few drinks, so what?), having watched as Argus went after the few NPCs were trying to go after Vanessa. "They were just talking to her." Yeah, that's totally what was going on.

IF LOOKS COULD KILL ✧ Vanessa Carlysle - The Typhoon
Vanessa would allow her tensed muscles to relax as others began to show up. She would offer a small smile in Paper's direction at his offer and she nodded. "Thanks. I'll let you know if they happen to bother me again."

Then she would frown as Caesar approach. She would roll her eyes at his sentence and speak. "No. They were clearly harassing me. You must be blind to not have seen that."

Caesar gave a snort and shrugged at Vanessa's response. "That's not how I saw things." He replied, tail flicking. Truly, he didn't seem the harm. What was the big deal?

The stubborn bastard. He was too arrogant and if he didn't like something, he would argue with others until he got his way. Vanessa would narrow her eyes and growl. "Not everything in this group revolves around what you think or see."

"Sure it does, babe." Caesar laughed, one of his paws hovering over his mouth as if he was trying to hide that fact. Although he couldn't read Vanessa's thoughts, he would agree with her when she thought about how arrogant he was and how he argued with people until he got his way. That's just how he did things! It's the only way to do things. "I am a Privateer, after all." As if that was very high up in the rankings.
