[div style="text-align: justify;"]He had fucked up. He had fucked up really... [i]really bad. As to how, why, or what he had done? Joel wasn't quite sure, but he knew he had done something awful. Something that would be hard to reverse... if at all. It was strange but, each time he tried to remember what had happened, there was nothing. He knew that whatever this disaster had been, it had just happened, but he couldn't remember a damn thing about it. The only thing he could think of was that he had hit his head somehow... but where? And when? Shit, speaking of where- where in hell was he now? Before he could even begin to find the answers to these questions however, he needed to wake up... right now... ok... maybe... now![/i] DAMMIT WAKE UP! x

Finally, the beast would open his eyes, senses gradually returning to him as he regained consciousness. Instantly, he took notice of the wind currently blasting loudly into his ears and the sight of the sky above, giant white clouds rising upwards as he began a rapid decent towards the ground... oh... shit. "WAAAAAAAAA!" Joel would screech, panic quickly overtaking him. Oh god, oh god, I'm gonna die! Not like this! Were the thoughts running through his head currently as he clawed helplessly at the empty space around him. Trying desperately to flap his wings in an attempt to stop himself from falling, pain shot through his right wing upon use, causing him to cry out. My wing... is broken!? H-How!? But it was no use, as hard as Joel tried, he couldn't remem- wait, now isn't the time! There has to be... has to be something he can do... he didn't want to die... not before he found them... his friends...
Every burn and laceration on his body stung as he fell faster and faster, the ground quickly approaching. Far beneath him, Joel could spot a faint blue shape... water... was it water? Before he could even process the thought, however, he was fading from consciousness again... what a terrible way to die... splatting flat on the ground as a beast who could fly... his only regret... was he woulc never see his friends- no... his familyagain...
Soon, the giant dragon bat hybrid was nearing the ground, completely unconscious. It seemed this would be his end... but fate had other plans. Lucky for Joel, he had been falling directly towards the Starpool in the Ascendents. Within minutes, a loud SPLOOSH could be heard by anyone standing within at least half a mile of the Starpool. There, the giant form of Joel would gently wash up on the shore, shrinking down and changing as be reverted to his wolf body. What in the world had just happened?

geddy didn't know a whole bunch about this place still. he'd learned they were called the ascendants, at least, whatever the hell that meant. he still needed to acquaint himself with his surroundings, though, so that's what his goal was right now. he was pretty interested in the part they called the starpool...it seemed quite pretty. he enjoyed water quite a lot after that day. no flame could hurt him there, and he could wash away the dirt and ashes and rubble that seemed to never fade from his own mind. he would keep trying, though. maybe one day he would be clean again.
so, he pulled up his pants and made his way over towards the body of water. he hummed a tune to himself as he walked towards it nonchalantly, entering his own little world now. he didn't even fucking notice the goddamn screeching dragon falling from the goddamn sky. what a dumbass. totally zoned out. but then, as he was getting close, that fucker fell right into the water and splashed all over him. what the crap. he immediately jumped backwards in surprise, knocking him back into reality. "HOLY SHIT!!"
oh, my god. the iguana blinked and breathed for a moment as the dragon then turned into a wolf. "oh, fuck," he mumbled to himself, not bothering to shake off the water. that looks like that hurt. he didn't know more than the very basics of medicine since that's all he had needed to know. geddy quickly moved towards the wolf anyway, trying to look him over. luckily, the injuries didn't seem too bad. somehow. that lake's really shallow, so he figured the bastard was lucky to have made it out with only scratches and...burns? oh jeez, that's not good. and a broken bone, it looked like. the water would help the burns, at least. "ahh, yO, COULD USE SOME MEDICAL ATTENTION OVA' HERE!" well, he felt pretty fuckin' useless.

[font=trebuchet ms]The loud scream, the timbre of which was unfamiliar, steadily growing closer was the first sign that something was off.
Granted, even if the noise hadn’t tipped Rin off, the falling object’s impact on the surface of Starpool- that sent waves splashing right into her face- would have been proof enough. Sputtering water out of her nose and mouth, she shook her head to get the excess moisture out of her fur, then blinked and focused on the fallen creature. They seemed to be shifting into the form of a wolf, but more importantly, they were covered in cuts and burns, and had almost certainly broken at least a few bones.
Geddy had beat her to the wounded stranger, but apparently he wasn’t a medical expert either. They would have to make it work, probably. ”We’ll need some bandages, and probably a stick or something for a splint,” she called aloud, flicking an ear. Her scarf wasn’t going to suffice as an impromptu bandage this time. Of course, perhaps Radeken would arrive to take care of this, in which case there would be no issue, but Rin wasn’t quite ready to put stock in that possibility yet.

Upon hearing a loud scream at the border, Luna had come running over, concern in her blue-eyes and a frown on her maw. She had arrived on the scene, right after Rin and she had pulled a stick from some nearby bushes. "I got the stick." She said, placing it next to Rin.
The white-serval would slowly approach the wounded joiner, in her attempt to calm him. "We're here to help you, though we'll need your name as well." Luna said with a soft voice.

“[color=black]Hey.” Radeken rumbled. Screaming out the need for medical attention was a pretty good way to summon her, after all. If she wasn’t sleeping, stealing, or shirking duties to entertain fantasies of heing elsewhere. I see what they meant about injured newcomers. She was almost tempted to set up first aid stations along the border and throughout the territory if this was going to be a regular thing.
“[color=black]Awesome, wet dog.” She muttered in a soft, flat voice as she set out her things, popping open a bag to fish out containers of salve and spread that’d be useful for this poor schmuck. This guy was...pretty fucked looking, actually, but she was glad it was another canine. She had practiced on herself enough times to be more than confident helping this case.
“[color=black]So nice of you to leave him sopping wet for me.” Radeken groaned. “[color=black]He needs to be dry. At least, the injured bits do.” Herbs and bandaging wouldn’t stick well to the wet and the wounds wouldn’t do great if lake water was trapped against them. She tugged wads of dry material for stopping blood from her pack to dry him, gesturing for the others to help before nudging Joel with her nose. “[color=black]You even conscious?” It wouldn’t change whether he was treated, but she more than half hoped he could somewhat walk sooner than later so he wouldn’t have to be dragged to safety. She mouthed something reminiscent of thanks to Lunafreya for retrieving a stick and pried open one of the containers she had dug out.

"No worries, dude. He fell into the water, which broke his fall greatly. He'll probably be a little waterlogged, but that's it." Suiteheart's eyes fell from Wren before resting on Warringkingdoms, Lunafreya, and Radeken. She also swept her gaze over Geddy, hoping he wouldn't be too upset about this whole ordeal. His screaming had alerted her to the problem, but perhaps he would begin to calm down now that help arrived.
She resisted huffing at Radeken's requests. Ungrateful the Cleric was, Suite thought, her mind still under the impression it was Rad's fault Starry had perished. Still, concern was heavy in her eyes as they landed on Joel's form. "I can carry him to camp in my polar bear form, if it's needed," she offered, voice soft.

The second the screaming reached the observatory, Hazel had whistled for Arion and all out galloped towards the Starpool. Apprehension was a second thought after her lack of impulse control, and for a moment, she hesitated; the thing was clearly huge, based on the decibel level of its scream, but...there was a large possibility that it was an injured clan mate, and she didn't really want to take that chance.
Hazel wheeled Arion to a stop by the scene, the colt skittering every few seconds in his nerves. The size of the thing was enormous - easily big enough to startle Arion. "Do you need anything else, Rad?" The cocoa colored feline asked, voice laced with concern.

Like her clanmates before her, it was the scream that brought her from the Observatory and towards Starpool, brows knit together in silent confusion. She made her way there quickly, a bit out of breath as she came to a halt near Suiteheart. It appeared that someone had just fallen out of the sky but had, somehow, transformed into a wolf. Interesting. They were injured as well - rendered unconscious even from the tumble - and Margaery could only thank the stars above that the scent of canine blood was not enough to lull at the monster inside of her out to play.
She glanced briefly at Suiteheart, lips setting into a thin line before casting her gaze back upon Joel. [color=#b14767]"I can fetch anything you may need as well, Radeken," Margaery finally chose to offer, knowing that she wouldn't be much help in this situation otherwise.

[div style="text-align: justify;"] Voices. Now he was hearing voices... where were they coming from? It wasn't long before the voices grew in number, eventually waking him from his unconcious state. Immediately, the pain from his injuries set in, causing him to groan and clench his teeth in pain. In an attempt to surpress a cry of pain, a hiss would escape his jaws, blue eyes squinting at the various shapes standing around him. "... What?" Was the first thing he would say, unable to process how people were asking him questions or even what they were really saying. Shaking his head, Joel was able to understand when someone asked what his name was, glancing in Lunafreya's direction. "I'm... Joel. Joel Robinson. I think." The wolf would respond, faintly uncertain. He was 80% sure that was his name... maybe, and if it wasn't, he guessed it was his name now. "Where am I... and who are you guys?" He asked next, not even bothering to ask about his injuries. Joel knew he looked like hell- he felt like hell, and that was probably already apparent to these people. They were treating him after all- unless he was seeing things, which was possible in the state he was in.x
