I FLEW TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN-

In all honesty, it was probably weird as hell to see the hybrid wandering the beach in search of feathers from birds, considering they were half a bird themself. But they enjoyed crafting, and it was fun to use what they could find around themself, and what they could make for others. Back in their homelands, it had been customary for family to shower the young ones in gifts and toys, to teach them so many things. The children were raised by the village, in other words, and well, they sort of missed that. And so, they wee out and about, searching for feathers of birds that their siblings shared species with.

A curios chirp escaped them as they came across a hawk's feather, a rare find among the plumage of gulls here. Such a feather reminded them of some of the others they'd grown up with, siblings and neighbours all the same. Plucking the feather from its place among rocks, they hummed to themself in a sense of delight, happily trotting around, a small bucket carried in their jaws with their finds.

AND I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT'S GOLDEN TEARS.
