Linus
I wish you can see the wicked truth.

The satchel that Linus had been carrying for the better part of many seasons were getting heavy and the strap was cutting into his side.  The winged feline could only gingerly shift the bag, as he made his way slowly into whatever dwelling that he was going to make his home. It was a hut, at least that was what he was assuming it was.  The place was dark, and smelled heavily of smoke.

The harsh smell of the sea could only mingle with the smell of smoke. An unfamiliar scent to him, and it offended the senses. But what more could he do about this, this place was going to be home.  After all, where else could he go? And where else could he turn to? He was an felon on extreme circumstances of only been what he was.

It only took a matter of moments before his eyes adjusted to the hazy darkness, he could make out the shape of a low benched table.  That would serve for the moment to put down his satchel, he needed to get this increasingly heavy bag down and nurse whatever bruise appeared from the wear and tear on his person.

"Home sweet home for now." came the soft murmur.

Yet that statement felt like rocks dropping from the harbor as he spoke them.  Home, was a vague concept for him. What he had imagined that was what home was, it wasn't this.  It was at least with a loved one, his tail flicking behind him slowly.

Perhaps at least having a fire lit in his hearth could help chase away the darkness, and the dread that clung onto him.
