ABANDON THE SCENERY

A cloud of hot air left the beast's mouth as they huffed, eyes scanning the moonlit snowy forest. Massive paw prints followed them as they trudged on, gnashing their teeth against the cold. Where were they headed? To the fort that protected the group from The Wastes. Slowly the walls came into view, and the entirety of the fort followed, and the urge to leap up and run up those walls was strong.

Powerful legs broke into a sprint, and the beast darted across the snowy lands before anyone with any sense could stop them. Leaping a solid three feet into the air, their paws stuck onto the wall and they pressed close against it for a second. After a few deep breaths, they stood, waiting to see if their little magic trick worked, and it did, for they were standing on the vertical wall. A triumphant chuckle left them and they ascended.

Finally getting onto the top of the wall, the hellhound looked over the wasteland that lay before, ruff and cloak flittering in the winds.

C:\Users\Rowan> Rowan should've been asleep, honestly why was he even up this late. Oh that's right sleep was alluding him and what little had had gotten was plagued with nightmares. So after many hours of tossing and turning the hellhound finally decided that it wasn't worth it to keep trying to fight a loosing battle so he had gotten up from where he laid and finally left his chambers. The air was cold that night, the chill nipping at his skin through his fur. Yet he didn't let that stop him as he started to venture out of the camp, heading off in no particular direction.

Ears swiveled as he walked, his guard kept up since you never knew what lurked in the shadows even on protected lands. After a little bit of walking his sibling's scent crossed his path, multi-colored orbs darting across the area in search of the source but finding none. Eventually they landed on the set of pawprints in the snow and he would turn to follow after them. Rowan drifted after his sibling, finally coming into the clearing where he saw Sakura running at the fort's walls and then lunging up at it. He was about to shout when he noticed that the other hellhound had stuck to the wall, this revelation drawing out a silent huff from the smaller youngster. "I was going to say something witty about you being up there but after that show I honestly don't even know what to say," he finally spoke up, voice ringing out across the silent air.

Their eyes widened, and the head of the beast swiveled to look down at the voice. Sakura grinned down at Rowan, chuckling. "Well, the view is great up here! You should seriously come check it out!" They called down to their brother, considering the idea of running back down to pick the other up and carry him up to the top. "You can see the entire wastelands, I think."

C:\Users\Rowan> "If you want me to come up there you'll have to come get me yourself" Rowan teased, smirking up at their sibling. The Hellhound huffed out a puff of air, honestly he wanted to see the view but he wasn't entirely sure how he would go about getting up there. Sure Sakura was bigger than Rowan but he was still afraid he would be too big for the other to carry all the way up the wall.
