I'M STILL STANDING
the clanking of chains mingling with the jingling of ornaments echoed out with each step he took. his steps were lite and he seemed rather happy. the fact was, he was happy. so he moved along with not a care in the world. he, in all honesty, had no idea where he was, but the cold winds felt good on him.
stopping when a smell reached him. the smell was clearly a boarder. this made him stop and stand stone still. ears flicking as he looked for signs of life. he knew he stood out in this land, and he did not look like a feral deer. he just hoped no one tried to eat him all the same.

the deer would laugh at the comment and shake a little. causing a jingle of bobbles on chains as he did so. the oddity would offer a dip of his head before speaking. "yes. even my name screams it. i'm nickodemus mistletoe. and a home would be lovely."
he was sure they would laugh at that and he was fine with it. he loved to laugh at his own name. he often did so.
