weird how it happened that way ;; #7, gifts - Agrimony - 05-25-2022
okay, maybe this was not her best moment. she had heard a thump earlier and went out to investigate and now she was looking at a dead bird with rather pretty feathers. it was young in age and she felt bad for it. it seemed to have flown into the tree and misjudged the landing. it was sad, but it was life. some mistakes cost you and flying head first into a tree was one of those mistakes. so, what could she do?
the sadness she felt made her realize that she should try to something to cheer herself up. so, she picked the dead bird up and carried it home. dropping it with someone else's catch and sighing. after a moment, she realized how fragile life was. so, she made the choice to do something for her friends and family.
going into her little corner of the nursery, she would set to work. pulling wire, gems, shells, and some beads she got from a merchant passing through. that npc had been super helpful. now, she was stringing necklaces together. some bigger than others. her work took most of the day and the sun was starting to set when she was done.
the first was for plexus. it was made with an emerald as the center. herbs were painted onto shells that were laced onto the necklace with a few earthy beads mixed in. the second was for byr and was made with onyx as the center stone. this one had shells with different elements and weapons painted on them with red beads laced in. the las was for sol, though she doubted he would show or care.
that one was a sapphire center with shells and ocean blue beads. galaxies painted upon the shells and stars on others. she hoped he liked it. another thump made her jump and she looked outside to see a stone nearby. twice today something fell from the sky. was it a warning for her, or just odd luck?
sighing, she would stand and take her gifts out to go find one of the three.

"What do you have, Zuri?" The snow leopard rumbled, dark body being shaken slightly as he cleared his throat. Glowing eyes spotted the smaller child and carefully made his way toward her on small paws. Well, compared to his main form he was tiny. God forbid Saturn get a form that wasn't a snow leopard -- he wouldn't know what to do.

byr was the first to show and she set the three necklaces down. shifting to grab the one for byr and bouncing over to set it before the larger male. after a moment, she would look up excitedly and speak. "i made one for you! i got one for plexus and corrupted flower." she mused with a sway of her tail.
that soft voice was excited. she hoped he liked it. she really and truly did.

Ears pricking, the Norwegian forest heard both Byriath and Zuriela talking. Curious, and feeling embarrassingly nosy, Plexus fixed the medic pack at his hip and trotted up to the two. Casting Byr a warm look, tail flicking happily, he turned to the trinkets the younger was working on. His green eyes took in the intricate work, as he brushed his tail gently against Zuriela's side.
"looks like you're skilled with your paws." plexus remarked, loafing between the larger and the smaller, a soft smile tugging on his maw as he heard Zuri exclaim she had the made as gifts.

the gentle brush of a tail on her flank made her head turn. eyes bright as she looked at plexus and twisted to slide his gift to him as well. ears perking as she took in his complement and feeling warmth under her fur.
"you think so..?" she asked suddenly feeling shier than normal. tail swishing over the ground next to her as her eyes fell onto her paws.
