ENTRY NO. 1. GODS.

MANY have asked me,
"do you believe in gods?" To which I respond, and quite simply, "Who would believe in paltry deities, in fate predestined?" And those who asked would scoff, call me a heretic, and leave. They never think to listen as to why I refuse to believe in a higher power. Perhaps it is for the best. I would hate to know where a god would go after they die.

Yes, I am a God. You do not see it in the way I walk, talk, or dress. But I am a divine being. Holy, and yet, Unholy as well. I humble myself by living among mortals, among men and women and armies. My nature defines me as that of War, and thus, wherever war is, I will go. I will command, raid, pillage. I will kill and watch my men die. I have hosted funerals, made bonds, and lost people I truly loved.

To be a god is not a blessing, but a curse. To those who are, and to those who know. And that is why this book will be hidden from view. So that no mortal or god may know of my curse.

ENTRY NO. 2. PRAYER.

Following my first entry,
prayer has often been a sore spot on my mind. What good does trying to speak to a god, when that god will never respond? Offerings can only go so far before becoming drastic. When the innocents are slain for the favor of a god, is it an Offering, or a Sacrifice? I have seen many make an offering to me, right to my face. I found it disgusting. When I was against them, they were slaughtered. Why?

The offering, the person, was INNOCENT. They had done nothing wrong. And yet, these wicked men stole them away and slaughtered them in my name. Though I am a God of War, I have a heart. Only those worthy, only those who had done great evil, should be sacrificed to me.
