Lorelei was his teacher, the previous Legiant, and his friend under her mentorship. Eccentric, yes. Rotting, definitely. But a mad woman? Far from it. She was a medium, far more experienced than him. So hearing some of the Legion whispers that she was mad or insane was just... well it was disrespectful. Anger burned in the fox's heart, though he knew better than to strike out at his people. Instead, he wanted to find out who had spoken of this lie. The investigation led to an older member of the group, definitely someone who had been there before Lorelei had reigned. A grizzled small feline, scarred and tired. "I heard about what you said. These rumors of Lorelei being some insane woman. I know you've been here longer than me, but I'm sure that her reign was far more stable than whoever was leading before her." He stated calmly, eyes leaving the feline and gazing into the main camp from their spot at the outskirts. The feline chuckled, pulling a large paw up to his scarred maw. "She was insane. Always ratting on about spirits and shit. I'm surprised we managed to get her as a Legiant, as mad as she was." He looked at Sylvester, a grin across his face. Sylvester glared at him, ears pulling back as he frowned. "That 'mad woman' was my teacher. My best friend. You don't-" He sighed, stopping himself. [b]"You didn't know her the way I did, okay? Don't spread that sort of nonsense ever again, or you will be punished." Turning away from the feline, he walked toward the main camp, pausing as he heard the old cat whisper something. Groaning, the Legiant ignored him and continued toward the minnow pond. [glow=#b6cdcd,1,400]text[/glow] |
