PAX AM DAYS ; open, 200th post - Suiteheart - 05-26-2018 [div style="width: ##px; height: ##px;"] The words she had last spoken to her daughter, Lil, were perched at the surface of her mind. So many things had transpired between the pair as of late. After a year of being estranged, they had found one another. Lil had taken up residence in the Typhoon while Suiteheart lived in the Ascendants. Their encounter had been by chance, but fate always had a way of bring on one back to those they loved the most. Even so, for all the good that one meet up had been, not too long afterwards had Lil seemed to have forgotten everything. When Suiteheart and Margaery had had their private spat, Lil had joined them before either of their unfavorable sides could kill the other. She had brought both Margaery and Suiteheart back from the brink of self destruction. It had been a rather marvelous thing, honestly. The downside to all of it was that Lil did not know either of her mothers - she called them strangers. That hurt. It had hurt more than anything else had in a long, long time. However, when Suite went to deliver the message about ending the alliance with the Typhoon, Lil had greeted her. Lil had been kind and pleasant then. She was so reminiscent of her usual self that Suiteheart had to restrain herself from calling her 'daughter.' Lil had also asked if the pair could remain friends, and Suiteheart quickly agreed to that. That pact was what had lead Suiteheart toward the Typhoon border with a request. Lil was powerful with her budding magic abilities. She had locked away Suite's primal personality, and she had even beat back Margaery's dark alter ego. That being said, it was no surprise Lil was the only one Suite could think of to change her back into a feline. Suite had tried countless hours of mental sharpening in order to revert back to her normal state, but she always came up empty handed. She was just stuck. It was awful. It was terribly awful. But Lil had fixed it. Suiteheart had not truly understood how her daughter was able to, but through her magic abilities, she had changed Suite back into a feline. When she did so, it was as if a key had been inserted into her mind. The lock on her shapeshifting abilities was broken. Along with now being back to her normal self, her daughter had made it so that Suiteheart could freely shift back and forth between forms without the fear of being permanently stuck (if she were to choose to do that). Suite, who had always felt she was never in control of anything, finally held the reigns of something. The smile she had given Lil was fourteen karats. It was brilliant and real. She had hugged the younger girl too, keeping her close for the few fleeting moments they had together. Lil had smiled too, and it warmed the Cosmic General's heart. As the white feline traveled back to the Observatory, she was grinning vibrantly. She hadn't stopped smiling since transforming back. Her steps were hurried, too, as if she had forgotten how long it took to get home while being in this body. Her mind was traveling at a hundred miles an hour as she neared the dome. Her brain immediately took her to Starrynight, and her chest ached and she frowned heavily. She wished she could have seen the look on his face when she waltzed through the Observatory doors. She would give anything to see his smile of pure starlight again. Her pace slowed momentarily as these ideas overpowered everything else, but she knew she shouldn't be this way. Starry wouldn't have wanted this. He would want everyone to be okay and happy. So she would be. Putting a pep in her step, she hurried for the Observatory. She let a smile grace her lips as she entered the doors. She stood still for a heartbeat, trying to catch her breath. "I'm back," the ivory feline purred. Had it not been for Lilyspoise, Margaery would not still be here - living, breathing, enjoying her life for what it was. No, she would have once more perished at the claws of Suiteheart, repeating a part of her history that she admittedly preferred to just forget. Her daughter had saved her, of all people, and she couldn't be more grateful. However, the chocolate point was practically forced to ignore the part about Lil forgetting she and Suite; She couldn't deal with that pain. Lil had made that decision on her own and if she didn't wish to live with the memories of her mothers, then nobody could make her. Margaery had resigned to simply accepting that reality... there was no other way. Perhaps one day, Lil's memories would return to her. Until then, she'd give her daughter the space she needed to breathe and continue on living within the Ascendants, her love for the other never once fading. She was her mother, that much could never change, and she was sure that things would work out in all of their favors in the end. They're receive a blissfully sweet and soft epilogue... just as they deserved. On that particular afternoon, Margaery had been lounging around casually within the Observatory. It was strange to see her cooped up indoors where she usually was outside tending to her gardens, but the Starstruck Guardian was a little more bent on avoiding the sun today. She had been a little looser on how long she stayed exposed to it and her skin, though hidden by fur, felt uncomfortably warm and a bit burnt. She supposed it was just another thing to thank her darling family for- they certainly knew how to pass along all the good genes. Releasing a faint sigh, Margaery would idly rise to her paws before a wave of joy crashed into her. She knew that such originated from her wife but she couldn't explain the reason until she heard her voice. And then... It clicked. Her seat was abandoned in an instant, long limbs carrying the chocolate point with graceful speed towards her wife. Her beautiful, beautiful wife. There she was- white fur, the prettiest blue eyes she'd ever seen, and of course, a much smaller, more feline form... this was indeed Suiteheart. Without even a word of greeting, Margaery attempted to launch herself onto her wife, hoping to tackle her to the ground. A little rough for the rose queen, yes, but she didn't care. Suiteheart was back and things were once more resembling normalcy. "Mea vita," She breathed, for some reason choosing to finally greet her wife in Latin, of all things. She was fluent, much to the surprise of others, but strayed away from the language due to a plethora of personal reasons. Using it now just felt right though, and she laughed. "Your eyes... the prettiest eyes I've ever seen. I've missed this version of you," She confessed, tears pooling now in her own gray eyes. Did your powers start working again, darling? Are you glad to be back in something a bit more manageable? She would inquire through their bond, paying no mind to the tears that slid freely down her cheeks. I guess none of that really matters though... You're back... And I love you... "I love you so much." Even so, despite Rose thinking this was probably their first meeting, she could see friendliness in the other's manner, and if the cat was saying, 'I'm back,' then it was only appropriate to return the greeting, right? That is-- that's what she planned on doing, but someone else beat her to it. Immediately sensing they were having a moment, the dark-furred she-cat stopped in her tracks with a smile. Oh, okay. She shouldn't interrupt this. Still, she would be there, ready to say 'Welcome back' once those two finished their exchange. Re: PAX AM DAYS ; open, 200th post - Suiteheart - 05-26-2018 [div style="width: ##px; height: ##px;"] She fell backwards as her wife tackled her to the ground, and Suiteheart pulled Margaery into a tight embrace as the latter spoke Latin. "'Mea vita?'" she echoed in sweet laughter, having no idea her wife had called her her life. "Mine don't compare to yours, babe, but thank you." Suite had always thought her baby blues were easily overshadowed by her wife's stormy eyes. Speaking of eyes, hers were shining so brightly at the moment it was as if all the happiness of this scene was reflected in her irises. The Cosmic General wiped away the Starstruck Guardian's tears, still smiling. 'Lil helped me. She - she fixed me, Margy. And I'm so, so happy to be back. It feels normal again. I'd almost forgotten what it was like to feel normal,' she answered her wife via their bond. 'I love you too - more than you could know. And I'm sorry for everything that happened. We'll be okay now though, I know it.' "I love you too." Her azure eyes fell upon Rosegarden. The first time they had met, the younger feline had been quite shocked by her appearance. The dark feline had been downright terrified of her polar bear form, and Suite was happy to start fresh with the other. She was finally who she was supposed to be, and from the look on Rose's face, it seemed the Observer understood that clearly. "Hey, Rosie. Glad to meet you as the real me," she laughed. She offered the other female a lopsided grin - her signature smile that fit so perfectly on her features whereas it did not on her other form. In a teasing tone, she continued, [b]"I hope I still don't scare you." Re: PAX AM DAYS ; open, 200th post - ★ HAZEL - 05-26-2018

★ WHEN MY HEART IS MADE FROM GOLD AND FORGIVENESS SEEMS TOO BOLD
Hazel had a hard time recalling the Suiteheart that greeted her on the border. Her memory wasn't fantastic, but wasn't...poor, so why did this seem so surprising? Maybe it was because Hazel had become so accustomed to seeing Suite as a bear that the feline version of her was...new. New, but completely welcome.
Hazel really didn't have to question who it was - Margy only gave affection like that to one person: Suite. "Wow, Suite," Hazel purred. "I can actually look you in the eye, now." She left out the part about the relief slowly seeping through her veins; she had come to terms with Suite's polar bear size, but she wasn't necessarily comfortable with it. "Congrats on switching back," The girl added, beaming. Re: PAX AM DAYS ; open, 200th post - BASTILLEPAW - 05-26-2018
Bastille didn’t have it in him to be pleased to see Suite in her original body. For one thing, he hadn’t had an issue with her polar bear body, and for another, he just didn’t care about much of anything at the moment. Their world was fucking imploding and they were fucking around over something so insignificant? He felt a flare of irritation, as it was somehow their fault that Margy was happy to see her wife back, and he pushed it down viciously as he joined them. He didn’t say anything, just watched with a dark stare as he instead focused on not setting something of fucking fire.

Re: PAX AM DAYS ; open, 200th post - Suiteheart - 05-27-2018 [div style="width: ##px; height: ##px;"] Suite opened her mouth to say more, to note how much taller Hazel truly seemed to be getting, when Bastille entered. The air became cooler, dimmer. It was as thought all traces of joy had been sucked out of the room, and when her eyes fell upon her boy, she could not fight back the frown that was forming. Her eyes fell to Starry's pendant, briefly, before traveling upwards to look him in his eyes. 'Mon petit cœur, I'm so sorry,' she thought, trying to reach his mind, hoping his telepathy would pick it up. It hadn't even occurred to her that she'd slipped in a bit of French, someone reminiscent of her own mother before everything had gone to shit. 'I love you. Just breathe.' Her eyebrows were knit together in worry over the poor boy. He was not coping with anything, and it was so painfully obvious. [i]'If you need me, I'm here. Always.' "My life," Margaery clarified in response, blushing. In retrospect, perhaps she shouldn't have let the Latin slip out. There were too many nasty memories associated with the language and she was forced suddenly to fight against the urge to slip into her mind and relive parts of her childhood. She couldn't. Not now. Not when her wife was back to normal and things could resume being okay again. As Suite wiped away her tears, she laughed again before realizing that she was still pinning her wife down. Whoops. Shamelessly, she backed off of her, that smile not once wavering. She's incredible... Absolutely incredible... I miss her... Came the Starstruck Guardian's mental response, a note of sadness clinging to it. Any of the turmoil she might have felt on the inside was not portrayed by her outward expression until Bast arrived. Immediately, guilt overwhelmed her and she looked away, her joyful features finally faltering. Seeing Starry's pendent hanging around his neck and that dark, dark stare caused her pelt to heat in embarrassment. It felt as if she shouldn't be experiencing happiness in the wake of this disaster and honestly, that was a terrible feeling. Did Bast hate her for relishing in a moment that she had only dreamed about? Was she once again proving to everyone, including herself, that she was an awful and selfish mother? Though Margaery did not possess many self-doubts, her occupation as a mother often times delivered her a great deal of distress. It didn't take much either, just one little action - subtle or not - and she was suddenly questioning her entire existence. "I'm sorry, Bast..." [div style="background-color: #292727; color: white; font-family: arial; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; overflow: auto; width: 500px; height: 340px; padding: 10px;"]"Not at all-- not at all!" Rosegarden would hastily refute the idea that she had been scared of Suite. She hadn't been scared of Suite's polar bear form; she had just been a little startled is all! She, too, thought it was fine whatever form Suiteheart was though! Even if it had surprised her, she would've gotten used to it eventually! It was kind of amazing that so soon after meeting her as a polar bear, Suiteheart had become a cat the next day. Everyone was happy and that's all that mattered! That is-- until Bast arrived to the scene. The change in mood was really hard to miss, how it was all warm and happy one moment and then cold and subdued the next. The change in mood actually kind of...bothered her-- and not in the way everyone else was feeling, probably. Everyone present suddenly felt sympathy for the leader, and after the meeting, Rose wasn't clueless as to why now. Watching everyone's facial expression change, though, and seeing how Margaery was suddenly questioning herself and looking guilty... That was really wrong. The feline with a crown of flowers narrowed her blue eyes slightly. Yes, he was grieving, but did he have to bring everyone else down too? For a moment, the cat wondered if she was wrong for taking issue with this. After all, he was experiencing pain she had never even had a taste of. Despite his pain, wasn't everyone else also hurting? Maybe not as much as him, but no matter how crushed he was, he should consider other people's feelings too-- shouldn't he? She lowered her ears a bit and looked away, gaze returning to Suiteheart and Margaery. Yes, Bast was in pain, but that wasn't the main concern here. Why should everyone drop everything to comfort him when they should be allowed to enjoy things too? If he wanted to grieve, maybe he could do it without silently putting everyone down. The troubled expression on the Observer's face was the only thing that gave any indication of her thoughts. She wondered if she should call him out, but that wouldn't be very fair to the Astral Seraph, right? Especially since they barely knew each other and especially since she hadn't been here long enough. No. She should let it slide. He was in mourning, so he should be allowed to act a little selfish at this time. Besides, Starry's death and everyone's feelings towards that-- Rosegarden really didn't have anything to do with it. True, she felt sad hearing about another's death, but she had never known Starry or interacted with Starry. As an outsider, maybe she really didn't have a say. Maybe her desire for everyone to be happy and for Bast to not show up and dampen everyone's moods... Maybe that was her being selfish. "It's a really nice look on you," Rosegarden would finally say, directing the compliment at Suite. After all, the purpose of this thread was to celebrate Suite's transformation. For the time being, she didn't want to start a fight or heavily involve herself in issues that didn't involve her (like Bast and his troubles). Well, she had to get involved because they were clanmates, but she would save it for a more appropriate time. Suddenly shaking her head, the auburn-colored feline would try to put on a smile. "Yeah. It's great that you're back. Welcome back!" Re: PAX AM DAYS ; open, 200th post - BASTILLEPAW - 05-28-2018
Bastille realized, abruptly, that he'd made a critic error in joining them. He'd been trying not to ruin everyone's mood by keeping his damn mouth shut, but it seemed that he was a storm cloud even in silence. Really, he should have expected that -- particularly considering who he was dealing with, here. He could sneeze and Margy and Suite would be on him in seconds, demanding to know if he was sick and whether or not he was taking care of himself properly to avoid such illness. They were just... motherly in that fashion. He'd realized a while ago that he'd more or less been forcibly adopted by the two, but it still took him by surprise sometimes when he realized he was being aggressively mothered. Such as now. He was always operating on low-level receptiveness, and his head jerked up in surprise at the sudden burst of French in his thoughts. For a moment he looked straight at Suite and saw Frenchie, baby blue eyes just a couple of shades softer and seal-point fur rippling over white; a perfect image of his mother, superimposed over the Observer. It was fleeting, there and gone, but it was enough of a jolt that for a moment the brimming turmoil in his gut dimmed. It took him another few seconds to realize that it was Suite. The only time he'd ever heard French in his thoughts like that had been his mother, and it weakened something in him as the rest of her words washed over him. He was still staring at her, uncertain of what to do in the face of her kindness and still subtly jarred by the sudden reminder of Frenchie, when he realized that he'd drawn Margy's attention, too. Fuck. He could practically taste her guilt on his tongue, and he scowled, feeling that rush of regret hit him once more. Rosegarden's stare was heavy, her judgment making his fur flush with warmth, and he felt a flicker of something dark and vicious in his chest defensively -- the bitter desire to snap at her that he hadn't meant to and therefore she could save her damn looks. He bit down on the urge, however, glancing briefly at Hazel as if she might judge him for slaughtering the mood, too. After a beat, he reminded himself to stop being such an irrational asshole, and instead forced out, "It's nothing, Margy. It's good to see Suite's normal body again." A pause, as he avoided Rosegarden and added, weakly, "I know you... didn't like the polar bear body much." Hell, Margy had been terrified of that damn body, and Bastille was killing her joy with his mere fucking presence. He looked vaguely morose at the thought, before he tried for a more neutral expression, evidently trying not to suck the life out of the damn room.
