MOUNTAIN GRAVE ♖ joiners - arcy - 05-24-2018

Re: MOUNTAIN GRAVE ♖ joiners - COSMIIX - 05-24-2018

VINCENT NOVIS ✧ observer — the ascendants — tags
Yes, Pitou had forcefully invited herself into his life and well, the moment she was there as well as gaining some type of interest towards him it only proved difficult to get rid of her. He wasn't able to brush her off or let alone lose her without her finding him again, he had decided that he might as well embark on this adventure of hers since he had nothing better to do that and he would likely be dragged along with or without his agreement. Hearing her uncaring voice made his ears flick for a brief moment before he said in return quite sharply "Well, I'm not that slow I am only a few feet behind you. If you wanted to run on ahead then be my guest," He snorted avoiding the possibility of rolling his eyes at her though his sharp retorts were only reserved for Pitou as of right now anyways especially since he was comfortable around her even if he would never admit to that. The border collie would snort as he carried himself forward picking up the smells of other creatures with that highly sensitive nose of his, his ears angled forward and he would stifle a growl not wanting to seem at all hostile.

He had definitely picked up on where Pitou had wanted to head towards, that was a thing about Vincent. His senses were almost more sharper than any other dog, he would clear his throat a bit hearing what she said but didn't bother answering since she never paid him heed either way. He would trot over taking a seat beside her and adjusting the scarf around his throat briefly glancing down at the peridot that hung from his throat held by a silver chain. He lifted a paw to adjust the glasses that rested on his muzzle "Any farther and we would be trespassing. They have a border, of course." He said in an almost matter-a-factly tone, his eyes would then survey the area picking up small bits that stuck out to him the most of the territory. He had only heard vaguely of the clans and well, he wasn't sure which one this was though since there was animals they would surely answer his questions better than his companion. His pink nose would twitch for only a moment with both his pointed ears angled forward to catch any sound, he was sure that someone would arrive sooner or later. Hmm, maybe he would be able to get Neferpitou off his arse finally.

Not likely but it was definitely worth a try.

"Do me a favor and try not to pick fight with the locals, at least, not until we're settled in well enough. It's called friendly sparring," His gaze shifted briefly and flicked an ear saying as a soft sigh escaped his slightly parted jaws "They'll already know I associate with you so, I might as well keep you in line." His British accent made itself clear and known to the world, he had a satchel on him as well. He mainly carried books and some of his notes in the bag, some of them were brief reminders to himself about certain things and certain people.

Re: MOUNTAIN GRAVE ♖ joiners - Suiteheart - 05-25-2018

Not one but two new scents reached her. They were foreign to her, and she knew neither of these creatures belonged to neighboring groups. She knew these must be joiners, for it was always newcomers looking to become a part of the Ascendants.

The large polar bear lumbered forward, stopping on her side of the border. She eyed the two curiously. The feline had unsheathed claws, and the canine simply looked put off by the other. This was an interesting situation indeed. Not trying to hide the amusement in her expression, she spoke: "I'm Suiteheart, a Cosmic General here. 'Here,' is the Ascendants. What are your names and business for being so close to our territory?"

She arched a metaphorical eyebrow as she spoke. Her words were kind, somewhat welcoming. She wondered if her hunch was correct. Perhaps both of these individuals were joining indeed.

Re: MOUNTAIN GRAVE ♖ joiners - BASTILLEPAW - 05-25-2018

Bastille wondered if there would ever be a day when the joiners just stopped appearing. They were simply a constant in his life, now -- there always seemed to be a new face every other day, some of them melting into the crowd without much notice, others deciding it wasn't for them a few days in, and the majority situating themselves here as if they'd always known their fellow Clanmates. Take Rin, for example: she was relatively new, but it seemed odd to think of the Ascendants without her presence. She just... settled in and stayed.

It always made him wonder what kind of joiner they were getting next. As he sidled to a stop beside Suite, he considered the two with vague intrigue, ice blue stare sliding over one, passing to the next, and shifting back and forth as he read their body language and auras. Interesting duo, these two. There didn't seem to be any particular connection between them, and in fact Bastille probably wouldn't call them friends, but hey -- he didn't really give a fuck about their business.

"Bast," he supplied, seeing no point in providing as much information as Suite also lent about herself. Did his full name matter that much when he rarely used Bastillepaw, and most called him Bast instead of Bastille anyway? Nope. Did his rank matter? Nope. Starry could demote him that day and Bast would be happy. Content to see what these two wanted without asking any of his own questions, he settled back to watch.

Re: MOUNTAIN GRAVE ♖ joiners - Margaery - 05-26-2018

The first thing Margaery noted upon arrival was Vincent's accent and how similar in origin it was to her own (though hers was easily considered 'southern English' whereas his simply resembled English). She smiled faintly at that realization, faintly brushing against one of Suiteheart's legs as she came to a halt near the polar bear, before letting her attention to fall upon Pitou. She wasn't surprised that the pair was joining, not after the massive volume of joiners that they had been graced with as of late, but she too couldn't help but sense the incompatibility that the two seemed to radiate in regards to each other. It was fascinating, admittedly, but the Starstruck Guardian opted to remain silent. Commenting on the relationship between two strangers was often times frowned heavily upon.

"Welcome to the Ascendants, then," The chocolate point extended with a smile, her voice crisp and laced with its typical enthusiasm. Starrynight's death had hit her - hard - but she was trying her best to not let it get the best of her... not after she had basically succumbed to all of her other issues before it. "My name is Margaery. Do you two need some assistance in settling in?"

Hm. Joiners. Suiteheart was not surprised as she had suspected this was the case. The only arrivals they had at the border were joiners. Well, usually. In addition to this, they occasionally had a few trespassers and those damned Tanglefuckers. Luckily for all parties present, both Vincent and Neferpitou were neither tresspassers or of Tanglewood. Suite would hate to have to chase the British boy and insect/feline-cross out and away.

Her eyes shifted to Bastille momentarily, and a look of concern flashed upon her snow-colored features. Out of everyone in the Ascendants, he had taken Starrynight's death the hardest. It didn't come as a shock to her though. No, Bast loved Starry like family. Additionally, she took note of his not mentioning his title. That would not have been a surprise either, for he tended to not do that sort of thing... but this time was obviously different.

She was brought back to reality by the soft touch of her wife. She had felt Margaery's sadness for a good, long while via their bond. The reverse was also true; though Suite wore the welcoming, happy look she offered all joining, her inner emotions were dark with sadness.

"Like Margy said," she began, "Welcome." Her coal-black eyes fell from Pitou to Vincent, wondering what he was called as he had yet to offer his name.
