BLACK ON BLACK (✚) OPEN - venus - 03-18-2018

[div style=" background-color: transparent; border: 0px solid black; width: 550px; min-height: 9px; font-family: arial; line-height: 109%; text-align: left; color: black; padding: 20px;font-size: 12px;"]New year, new home, new life. It was time to let go of the haunting memories stuck in the past and drag yourself out of their vats of misery - even if that meant by nail and claw. Burying the past underneath materialistic things and hopeful dreams, such was the life every millennial led. New things, new shiny things, new everything. What was the point? Taking absolutely no comfort in the cliched sayings of overtly optimistic degenerates, Venus supposed that they could never escape the coding of their DNA telling their mind to release hormones of dopamine in the presence of novelty items. Except this item wasn't novel, or able to fit in a novel gift shop by the seaside.

Its walls were looming, infected with large winding tendrils of parasitic vines using the structure to reach the sun and providing the building with a shade of green along its walls. It was pretty, but mostly obsolete in practical value. None the less though Venus did not make any plan currently to rectify the issue and merely glazed over the weed problem and ventured further into their abode. It was located in the further outskirts of the town, just out of earshot of the small but boisterous Tanglewood members who loudly disturbed the peace of silence. So as Venus stepped inside, taking in that musky smell of years gone by, they could fully appreciate the quietness of the building. Something not eerie - but welcoming. Smells were emanating from the remaining few items of decrepit furniture from the original house; abandoned for god knows how long. They were the things that had to go. Maybe Venus would keep some of the rotting items however. Stuff like the navy blue couch, ugly in appearance but quite practical. A large wooden table too, adorned with intricate woodcarvings of floral patterns called out to Venus to keep, as a studying table, and after a few more additions the silvery hues feline could really start to see this barren estate turning to the Turkish Angora's fantasy lab. It would just take time.

Heaving out all that they could, it was embarrassingly apparent now that Venus was not all up to the talk they talked - flush with heat and panting heavily, Venus struggled to heave the next piece of furniture out of the room. From a general lack of even needing to be physically fit from their previous life, group life was proving arduous upon the Turkish Angora's unfit body. It was also painful to witness; some overheated, unfit house cat heaving out furniture only merely just over their own size at the speed of about a eightieth of a mile per day.

tl;dr: venus found an abandoned building and is attempting to move old furniture out. it does not go well.

Re: BLACK ON BLACK (✚) OPEN - Belladonna - 03-20-2018

[div style="width: 450px;; text-align: justify"]Belladonna wasn't the most well-built person in the Tanglewood either, but her help would be better than letting Venus strain herself and hurt herself. "Can I help?" she inquired, the dark she-cat gently approaching the angora; maybe it would be a better idea if she fetched Vlad or Amunet, someone with a larger, stronger body, but if anything, Belladonna's assistance might help. Personally, Belladonna made a mental note to herself to find a building for herself that wasn't too damp, with some light - maybe she could make a protected garden somewhere with her herbs.

Re: BLACK ON BLACK (✚) OPEN - madster - 03-20-2018

[div style="width: 500px; height: auto; font-family: arial; font-size: 10pt; line-height: 12pt; text-align: justify;"]nocturne's mind was still hazy from the sometimes-overwhelming pain and feelings of anger. how had he let himself come here? it wasn't fair, he had to suffer here just because some smoker idiot had forced him. of course, he had to be greatful- if he had not been found, then he most likely would have died and rotted into the earth. his head injury was slightly better, although the amnesia affected his thoughts and plans. he had no idea who he really was or could do.

he was just an injured cat. however, he kept his sharp wit and angry tongue. he was lean, quick to make his way to the side of belladonna- she looks nice. she won't last, i bet. he thought, then spoke himself.

"really? this is pathetic," the dark cat said, tilting his head to the side in confusion. "do you need help?" he was not rude for the sake of being rude, but also not nice just to be nice. he wanted something. the promise of future help.

[div style="width: 450px; height: 350px; text-align: justify; padding: 8px; overflow: auto;"] Moving heavy stuff was definitely difficult for most creatures, 'specially dudes like normal cats. He was watching this curiously for a few minutes before hopping down from the tree he'd been lounging in, going to help the cat move the furniture. "Do ya need help? I'd be up for helping ya move this, my dude.
Phobeus wasn't the best at moving large stuff but he was probably better than this dude, however rad the dude may be. "What would you like me to move?".
