Sounds of people // Managing the Fly Traps // Equinox Event - Byriath - 03-25-2022 [div style="margin-top: 4px; margin-left: 9px; font-family: times new roman; font-size: 36px; text-transform: lowercase; text-align: left; line-height: 22px;"]WE'LL ALWAYS SEEK, WE'LL ALWAYS FIND! His first order of business was to help and tame the fly traps that Ninazu oh-so-lovingly left to guard the borders of the territory. The satchel at his side carried a large supply of meat, as well as stuff to... let's say 'trim' the plants a little. He didn't want to do too much damage - he knew the importance of keeping the things there. There was also a bottle as well, to capture any liquid that might fall from their toothy mouths.
"Alright, you fuckers, let's try and get you in a better attitude." He rumbled, staring into the treeline as he spotted several of the aforementioned meat-eating plants. Now that he saw them in a full view, his maw twisted into a frown. "This is going to be a bitch." He grumbled, then walked beneath one of the trees. Reaching into his satchel, he took a hunk of meat and tossed it up, flinching slightly at the activity of the Fly traps as they reached and snapped the piece up. Taking this moment to quickly get some work done, he clambered into the tree and took out a pair of shears. Very, very carefully, he started to clear out some of the weeds that nestled their way either on or around the traps. Tossing them to the ground and moving to another branch, he forgot to throw another piece of meat to the lot. One of the fly traps seemed to not recognize him (Considering he was gone for two years), and it extended forward to bite him. It's teeth made contact with his tail, and the war god let out a yell. "FUCK!" And then his body tilted over and he plummeted to the ground, twisting so that he landed on his back, with a loud THUMP! Byraith groaned, and rolled onto his side and sat up. Glaring up at the tree, he huffed. Re: Sounds of people // Managing the Fly Traps // Equinox Event - LAERTES - 03-27-2022 [align=center] Laertes hated these plants. With a passion. Though he'd only been here a few short weeks they'd become his arch nemesis. Thus when Romulus said he wanted to put them in their place Laertes was more than happy to join the snipping party. The price of having to deal with them would be more than worth it when they were gone.
Laertes carefully snipped away at the stems using a pair of large shears and some telepathy. That was until he heard Byriaths shout, startling him into dropping the shears right into a flytraps open jaws which quickly snapped shut. The feline let out a big sigh, knowing he'd have to deal with that at some point. "You alright?" Laertes posed to the fellow feline, treading over to look down on him in lieu of wrestling his shears away from the plant. They'd only just met today, Byriath and Laertes, and Laertes wasn't sure what to think of the purple and gray Coalition member yet. Was she following Laertes? MAybe she was, but it wasn't to be creepy. He brought her here and took care of her when she needed it. If not for him, well, she doubted she would still be among the living. So, she found herself looking up to her hero. The small girl stopped at the sight of a plant.
"What are those..?" She asked in a soft voice as she drew closer to Laertes and away from the stange plant. She was not sure if they were dangerous. space
