the storms of time were cruel and none-too-kind to any trapped within their grip as so many were. so much had changed, so many things had happened in the last few years and she was still getting used to this fact. so long ago she had gone with vignere and atbash cipher as they'd taken their leave of the beyond for a distant place, too loyal to leave her girlfriend's side. that's when tragedy had struck. a vicious storm had ripped her from them in her still-recovering feline body, too weak to survive on her own. not that she couldn't, but the healing injuries and scars upon her spine and flanks in that time had made it grandly difficult, even when she'd found a home with a traveling band of knights, a place she had fit right in without issue. it had been a few months, maybe years, since she had seen gawain and his merry band of misfits, it had been the last time she'd closed her eyes in that long ago dying body. the wounds had healed but the depths of the injuries couldn't be described, and honestly? she was itching for a rematch with the bastard that had fucked her up in the first place. jormungand. she was going to come for his ass one of these days. a smirk spread across lips, gaze falling on the scenery around her. first things first; she had to thank a certain malus lion for his aid in the past when she'd been too fucked-up to go back home to tanglewood. not that tanglewood was really home at this moment either, but she supposed there were a few things to pack away and put to rest, including the memory of a woman she would never come across again. tail swinging behind the dark based lioness, cracks of gold, bone and white running through her pelt, gaze a brilliant pair of dull pink and orchid purple eyes. the lands of the coalition, a place she hadn't been in at least two years. taking a deep breath, the lioness stretched her jaws in a yawn, observing the local fauna around her with a small grin. maybe she could consider setting up camp her eventually, but tanglewood held memories she had to lay to rest first. setting her paws down at the border, clearing her throat before calling out, "romulus malus! are you out there?", she paused before adjusting the sword she was known for in the past that was stuck to her side via a belt and sheath, "or anyone, anyone will do. if you see rom', tell him someone's come back to say 'ello!" |
