HEART TO HEART ; visitor - MAUDE P. - 05-21-2021

Re: HEART TO HEART ; visitor - LUMIA CIPHER. - 05-22-2021

This time, it wasn't the scent of the Coalition that drew Lumia over to the The Typhoon's gate. Instead, she was drawn over by the scent of blood and gore, a small frown of worry on her face as she approached. A couple of questions were already lingering within her mind – was someone hurt? Had the Coalition left some gruesome prize on their border? That second one turned out to be somewhat true, but... not in the way that she had been thinking. Instead of coming across some fresh corpse, she came across Maude, the dire wolf covered in the smell of blood and gore. Upon seeing the other, Lumia froze up, her gaze going wide in surprise and anxiety. Not necessarily fear, as she had taken Maude on once before, but that had been before the raid. Before she had skewered Ruven with her abilities. Not to mention the fact that their last fight had been when Maude was only a feline, not a towering canine. The young Cipher supposed she could shift into the lioness form she had used to grab Ravenwood, but... would that really even the odds?

She was getting ahead of herself, though. Maude hadn't attacked immediately upon sensing her, which was... interesting. That made her think that perhaps – just perhaps – the wanderer hadn't come to kill anyone. Clearing her throat, Lumia stepped forward before she spoke, "It's just me." It was an odd greeting, to be giving a member of the Coalition. After all, they had fought the first time they had met, and yet she greeted Maude like an old friend... she didn't want to think about that too much. Nor did she want to think about how the other's dire wolf form made her heart flutter a bit – even beneath the smell. Instead, she focused on the moment at hand, sitting down nearby before she questioned, "What are you doing here? Are you here to... get revenge for that boy?" She didn't know of the relationship between Maude and Ruven, but she had to assume that the other was angry. Ruven had been a fellow wanderer regardless of his and Maude's personal connections, after all.

Well... it didn't seem as though Maude was here to kill her. That was good, at the very least. The name that slipped forth from the other's muzzle caused Lumia to pause, however, a confused look coming to her face. Had the other just... introduced herself? The entire situation brought a great deal of confusion to the young Cipher, although she couldn't say that she was upset about knowing the dire wolf's name. Maude, for better or worse, intrigued the privateer. It was like curiously sticking your palm over an open flame – you knew it was a bad idea, and yet you did it anyways. There was a moment of silence on the air before Mia spoke, her short tail twitching behind her, "...I'm Lumia. Lumia Cipher. It's nice to meet you, Maude." She didn't think much about how her last name would probably be familiar to the other, thanks to the presence of Aphra within the Coalition. She tried not to think of Aphra as much as possible, if she was being honest.

With names exchanged, Lumia found her green gaze slowly drifting over Maude, taking in the state that the other was in. She smelled of blood and gore, yet she didn't seem all that injured. Still, the raid as a whole still lingered in the back of the feline's mind. After another drawn out moment, the privateer found her mouth working before her mind as she questioned, "Are you alright?" Internally, she winced as the question left her, feeling embarrassed and ridiculous. Maude was from an enemy group. Why did she care if the other was alright, or whether she was injured? And yet, the young Cipher still made no move to take the question back, or just walk away from the scenario entirely.
