The birds that lived near the Glades weren't really any type of bird that could harm cats; at least, not once bigger than a couple months old kit. Drayden had joined the Glades around the age of seven months old, and being a snow leopard, he had the advantage of being a bigger cub than most domestic feline kittens. Still, he knew that birds could be a danger to the young ones of the group; Goldenpaw was proof of that.

Now masks on the other hand, wasn't something that was very common - at least outside of Tanglewood, but Drayden didn't really have much experience with the swamp-dwelling group and therefore, didn't even know they had masks.
