Lumia hadn't really been around for Requiem's initial brief stint within The Typhoon. Or rather, within The Typhoon's territory, considering the owl had never really claimed to be a member of the group itself. Either way, Lumia had been absent from this period, and so Requiem was an entirely new entity for her. And honestly, one that made her a little nervous. While normally she would greet anything and anyone new with a good amount of enthusiasm and friendliness, the recent kidnappings had put the privateer a little on edge. Part of her wanted to rush over and say hello to Requiem as she usually would, but another part of her was just... worried. What if the other was some kind of Coalition spy, come to keep an eye on them and see how they were coping with their reduced numbers? She didn't smell of the Coalition, sure, but she wouldn't want to if she was trying to spy on them. Ultimately, though, Mia decided to approach with her regular method of dealing with others – friendliness and a smile. Even if Requiem was some kind of Coalition spy, it would be best not to let the owl know that she expected anything.

Of course, unbeknownst to herself, Lumia was merely being paranoid.

Soft steps led the wheat colored feline over to where Requiem was perched, looking down on them all. She had to crane her neck in order to fully see the other, and the young Cipher couldn't deny that it ached a bit. Couldn't she just come down a little bit more? She didn't voice this thought, though, instead just calling up, "Hello there! Who're you? I'm Lumia Cipher... a privateer around here." The other didn't seem to be a .ember of The Typhoon, but that just made it all the more important to find out who she was. And if the owl was a new member of The Typhoon... well, then Lumia would probably end up needing to meet her anyways.

Unfortunately for Requiem – or at least, unfortunately for her search – Mia didn't actually know all that much about Alexandre, or his whereabouts. She had heard Roan's mutterings about how he wasn't in the temple anymore, and she knew that things seemed off in general regarding him, but beyond that? She didn't really have any sort of personal relationship with him, and wouldn't be able to relay much information to Requiem. That was really more Roxie, Diya, or Roan's department, considering they had been the one's spending the most time with him. Or maybe Danny, considering the canine had been in the temple at the same time, but that wasn't exactly an option at the moment...

It was sort of ironic that Requiem considered Lumia to be a child, considering she acted more mature than many adults within The Typhoon did. Not to mention the fact that she was very nearly an adult anyways. Even if the owl had voiced these thoughts, though, Mia would have let them slip harmlessly over her without much fuss. The feline knew full well that she had earned her position as a privateer fair and square, and she had every intention of fulfilling the duties expected of her. First on the to do list? Get back her niece and one of her best friends, for one. Still, she needed to wait to do that for now – once the call of battle had been put out, then she'd get them back. Make sure they were safe.

Her thoughts were drifting, though, and that was made obvious enough when she was brought back to reality by Requiem's query. News, huh? Well... she didn't quite know when the other had been here and when she hadn't been, so she couldn't fill her in on everything. Best just to tell her the most recent stuff, then. After tapping a paw against her muzzle in thought, Lumia answered with a shrug, "Lately? Quite a few things have happened lately. Captain Roxanne was attacked, although we're not sure by who. Vayne and Danny were both captured by the Coalition, but we're planning on going to get them back very soon. Speaking of... Alexandre hasn't been around much lately, either. Although I'm not sure he was taken by the Coalition. I remember Roan mentioning he had just... disappeared. I'm hoping he's safe, wherever he is..." Perhaps he had been taken, like the rest? She supposed it wasn't impossible for the Coalition to make a kidnapping look like a relatively normal leaving, but she didn't see why they would go through the effort. They hadn't exactly been subtle about capturing Danny, or Vayne.
