YOU'VE ALREADY SOLD YOUR SOUL // realization - KASPER NORTHWEST. - 05-05-2021

It had been a month since Kasper had allowed himself to stay with The Palm Glades, believing that his mother would be back for him soon, with food that the two of them could eat. And yet, as the days grew by, Kasper became aware of the fact that his mother probably wasn't returning. The American Curl was silent as he made his way to the forest, sitting down and letting out a sigh.

Waiting here one more day won't hurt... Kasper thought to himself with a frown, looking out into the forest as if he would find his mother there, calling to him and running to meet him.[glow=white,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

She had already expressed, internally, her sympathy for Kasper. I mean, the kid had just been left on the beach for the Palm Glades to take under their wing, and while she could maybe understand why, one day, it still didn't help to resolve the secondhand misery that the situation created within her. Stumbling upon the child and Winterhymns was an accident, but her staying to offer her own comfort was intentional. Leaned up against a tree some distance away, Sunsetpaw let out a sigh of her own, rubbing her face to try and almost wash away the sad look on her face. She didn't want to drown Kasper in pity, and her best quality was the optimism, decided by herself.

"She loved you, and we love you too! I've been in a lot of places, Kas, and this is definitely the place I'd want my kids to grow up in." Sunny mewed, poking her head out from around another tree, white paws clutching the trunk to keep her from falling over. Her tail poked out and curled over it from the other side, which just made her look like she was either climbing the tree sideways, or really sucked ass at hide and seek.

Kasper did like the Glades, he enjoyed the beach and how it gave him comfort. But still, he found himself wanting to be with his mom again or at least, have some sort of closure. Winterhymns and Sunsetpaw (who was peeking around a tree in a manner that made Kasper laugh a bit) both said that they were sure that his mother loved him, with Winter adding that parents tended to do things that was good for their kids. Which, in this case, was what happened with him; Kasper and his mother had been obviously struggling to survive and his mother left him here so he could grow up properly and not have to worry about their next meal.

Still, the longing for his mother was awful. "I wish she told me the truth," Was the apprentice's response, looking up at Winterhymns with sad eyes.[glow=white,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]
