Quiet would appear the gray tom ahead several paces, drawn by the screech made by the other. He'd returned recently, and the other had caught his attention. Pelt bristling, he would calmly exhale, gaze flicking around as he approached Cleopatra and Sethiram, ears perked. The mute would pause some distance back before pushing forward, crouching softly as he sniffed at Seth from a distance. Patting his paw on the ground softly, he tried to catch the other's attention.
Both he and Cleopatra were Talonguards, and he was not keen on seeing unaddressed injuries even if minor. Standing up, he would dig into his satchel for a moment before withdrawing a few poppy seed from one of the bags he carried within the satchel. Finding a nearby leaf, he would deposit them on the leaf before nudging it to the younger male. Next came his notebook, a written message appearing after a moment of scribbling, "We will shelter you. We can diskus discuss more later. I will look after your hurts". He would write, turning the notebook so Sethiram could see, his nose in the air as he drank in scents. Its not that he didn't trust Cleopatra, he just wasn't sure until he knew himself. space

Too well established, understood and harboured in the cracks, driving force when all else is gone. A coward, petrified beneath veneer of pride, sullied by conviction fleeting and disjointed. Yet always persistent, a cool and rabid pulse, the beat his heart followed, greed directing the hands to carve skin that had broken, the flight taken from his fight. Opposition the child propelled by intricate imagination, woven reality until it may submit, cries a broken, ceaseless chorus. Meagre the remnants that shifted about, unusable though hard to severe habit pressed into the frame of instinct, slow the inclusion of cranium, swivel began in vain. As it had risen so too the fall came with a suddenness, basic the notion he bore of probable direction. Lacking all else to act as guide this he allowed to draw him forth with a pace languid, hast deemed unnecessary. Close they all, even if the tether thinner where some were concerned, known the habits, such a cry a beacon for any who cared to follow its fleeting trail. Silence heavy, expected as pale vision found the participants gathered about, venomous and cruel demon the plucked vermin that levelled hard eyes upon the interloper. Expected such treatment, few seemed worthy of anything more, demeaning tongue dipped in silver fit only for the thin veil of empty threats. Or, at the least, such each proven thus far. The other seemed similar, strange to see the manner self was held, wary and drawn taunt muscle, of mild note the constant assessment of the air about. Around he circled, a figure poorly illuminated in growing halo of light, the dawn unobscured though prolonged by twin peaks, ivory expanse unflattering with extensive scar tissue upon display. Tail flicked at an irregular tempo behind, peculiar that which rose in soft depths of lavender, almost a worry there, misplaced and thus disregard once realisation struck. Away shifting, pages taken in, clear message parsed. It seemed another lost sheep was to be introduced to their fold. "No one is behind you, if it makes you feel any better I can check to be sure." Soft his tone, for how grating it was, an offer made only with a half-hearted attempt to quell any lingering doubt. Even if evidence was lacking best to at least determine none were present, his assistance in tending to Sethiram more likely to exacerbate the situation thus upon himself was he ready to take the rather useless goose chase. The arrival of Vincent had him nod his head in greeting to the other male. Vision switching back to Sethiram as he lapped up the seeds, giving him a soft and warm smile. He could introduce himself later. First was to look at the wounds, though he'd much rather dress them in the safety of their camp. Standing up properly with a curl of his tail, he offered a paw to the other in a wordless invitation. He would observe the other when he eventually got up, to see where the worst of the injuries were. He only had a minimal amount of herbs on him at any point.
Ignoring Cleopatra had become a new thing for him, or at least he was trying to ignore her. He had a few flowers that he wanted to throw in her face, mainly with the satisfaction that he knew what they meant and she didn't. Even if she knew the meaning, all the better. space
Re: I wish I knew - Open, Joining - FRAGGLEROCK. - 04-28-2021 The arrival of someone new was always exciting, at least in Fragglerock's opinion. Although, this particular arrival didn't seem to be the good kind of exciting. He seemed rather fearful, something that set Frag on edge as well – not that he would let that show, especially not in front of Cleopatra. As he approached, the boy still found himself in his rather new lion cub form, his pawsteps somewhat clumsy. He had grown so used to hopping around at a moderate pace in his birth body. To go from that to a body with much longer and more flexible legs... it would take a bit of getting used to. He would've simply shifted back, but he still didn't have a firm handle on that whole thing, despite his best efforts. Just thinking about his birth body hadn't worked out so far, so it seemed that he would need to try something new pretty soon. Regardless, he could worry about that later. For now, his attention was on Sethiram, and the other's injuries, as well as his worries.
Shuffling his large paws against the ground beneath him, Fraggle muttered as he offered the other a smile, "Hello... if it makes you feel any better, I can't smell anybody else, either. So I really don't think that anybody is coming after you." He wasn't sure how much of a comfort that would actually be, but everyone else seemed to be saying their piece to try and help. With that out of the way, the boy then introduced himself, tail flicking and feathered legs still shifting awkwardly, "Besides that... my name is Fragglerock. It's nice to meet you, and I know you'll be in good hands here, however long you stay. Speaking of, do you need any help with treating him, Aesior?" He glanced up at his silent father figure with interest, his head tilted to one side. While he had tried to help Aesior out with medicine in the past, he figured he could be even more useful now that he could move faster, and pick more things up at once. He was still in a rather uncomfortable period of adjustment, yes, but at least he could actually reach things that were needed, now. ☆ — what of the meek, the mourning, and the merciful? |
