There were quite a few... small creatures that called these lands their home. Lived here. Whatever the correct terminology was; Anthemtalon wasn't going to devote his precious mental energy to try and figure out the correct terminology. He was on a mission, with his pace almost determined for once. Not that a determined pace for Anthem was anything more than a decently speeded saunter along. Apparently people around didn't like the first (and so far only) kill that he'd brought in to help out with. Helping had been required for him to stay here, right? It seemed he wasn't exactly performing as intended.

Hence why he was seeking out one of those that he had seen at his initial arrival and acceptance to the group. There had been a denial of food then, too, by this person. Perhaps there'd be an answer there, an alternative? Anthemtalon wasn't too sure. Wanting to socialize and rest were far more prominent and easy to mentally digest than why others weren't able to digest the rotten materials he enjoyed. Nobody had ever complained about it before; not that Anthem had truly provided for anyone else. He squinted; no, that wasn't true, he definitely had swept a smaller lizard into his care before. They just hadn't eaten enough was the issue, he was sure.

Tracking people was easy for the komodo monitor. Tracking dead things was easier, but he had a fairly decent grasp of the scents of particular group members if he focused on something other than how cold he was for once. What had been this one's name again? Anthemtalon stopped in his waddling, flicked his tongue, trying to recall as his expression blanked. Names. He knew names. His jaw smacked once it was recalled, and he continued to move long to find who he was looking for. "Ruven? Have question. Quessstion." Anthem repeated the word, head swinging, changing up the pronunciation of the single word until it became nothing more than indistinguishable lizard garbling.
