JUST A BURGLAR || MEETING 4/16 - rhosmari - 04-16-2021

She was a spark, a cold spark. Growing with energy and too tense. Something would give but she was uncertain of what that would be or even how. She was not as happy, not as angry, just filling. Her chest heaved with breath but slow and kept quiet. She lifted her two colored eyes and searched for him. Searched for Ruven. Just to make sure he was close by. Somewhere she could get to off she needed to. Then she turned her eyes to the makeshift camp, it was time to go home. Their efforts were indeed rewarded. The village was cleaned up and they could go home. Back to their houses where they could keep warmer at least. The thaw was coming to a close. It was getting cold again but at least it would be as bad as when winter was here. Turning her gaze away she moved quietly to the front of the makeshift camp and she sat down. Her tension rippled through her body as she shook herself, trying to clear her head a bit. Time was moving and so she needed to get a move on and then descend into her own world again. Away from everyone else. She needed to think. "Wanderers, gather for a meeting..." It was said quietly with no real strength behind it. Maybe they would hear her. Maybe they wouldn't.

As she waited she curled her tail around her paws and closed her eyes. Trying not to think of the past. There was only the present and future. If she made it that far. One ear flicked as she heard pawsteps and she finally opened her gaze to a small and gathered crowd. "I'll begin with this. Jor's exile will stand. We have rules here. Rules that are not taken lightly especially when guests decides to break them. Throwing our hospitality back into our faces will always be met with harsher consequences. He is never to come back here unless under pain of death. We don't need more issues with Tanglewood." Her voice was slow and quiet still but a power trembled in her vocals. "Tanglewood and the Pitt are not to be touched. If you want to cause issues, spill blood the Typhoon and Palm Glades are very much open." Her gaze drooped then and she examined her claws before moving on to the other news that needed to be spoke of.

"The cleaning and reconstruction of the village is complete. So we will be moving back into our home tomorrow at the latest. If you want to go ahead and start moving your stuff tonight that's fine." She was more than relieved to be going back into her own home and being able to sleep more comfortably. Ruven would get to have his own room now too and the warmth he deserved. Toys, pelts, everything to his liking. A small growling purr rumbled in her chest at the thought. A warmth blossoming in her chest. And a child made her feel this way. Made her feel like a mother, maybe even a good one. But there was more to come and she would wait to do all the promotions and what not.

Re: JUST A BURGLAR || MEETING 4/16 - ARVID R. - 04-16-2021

Oh, looked like it was time for his first meeting as a member of the Coalitiom. His time within the group thus far had been pretty enjoyable, and he did have to admit that he felt comfortable within the crowd. Sure, quite a few of them were quite a bit more ruthless than he was, but he didn't see it as a problem. All that meant was that he could always count on having some kind of protection, as long as he was a wanderer. Additionally, much of the more ruthless aspects of Coalition life seemed to be focused outwards, rather than inwards. They made their enemies suffer, rather than their friends. That was certainly a positive for him, and he found himself almost rushing over as he heard Sojourn's surprisingly quiet call. He noticed some of those around him seemed sort of uneasy, but he actually felt remarkably calm. He wasn't worried about Sojourn ripping him limb from limb, mainly because he agreed with the kingpin. Sure, maybe threatening Angelembrace was a little too far, but... she had a point. There was no reason to focus on the past. Especially not when those in the past had evidently brought them ruin.

As for the actual content of the meeting thus far? Well, the first part of it didn't really effect him. Jor's exile had taken place before he had arrived, and if the other had broken the rules so bad, it certainly seemed warranted. Although he didn't care much about the exile, the dire wolf did make a point of memorizing the group names that Sojourn had called out. Tanglewood, The Pitt, The Typhoon, and The Palm Glades. They were all familiar to him as the names of various other major groups, but beyond that he didn't know much about them. Not that the warning about not messing with the former two would apply too much to him. He didn't have many plans of going and messing with the other groups, even the ones that were allowed. He much preferred just staying in camp, making sure that he was alive and occasionally helping out the others that did want to cause chaos. He'd be able to help more effectively when he had a little bit of a stronger grip on the scientific things, though. Then he'd be all the more useful, he was sure.

The news about the village... well, that was just straight up good news. Arvid had been pretty bummed when he had arrived only to find that the main village was trashed, and they were mostly stuck in temporary camps. The thought of having an actual house to call home was certainly appealing, and he soon found his dark tail wagging back and forth behind him. Perhaps he would go and move in tonight, once the meeting was over. It wasn't like he had all that much to move, after all. He had come with nothing, and the only thing he had to his name now was the science kit he had found.

Re: JUST A BURGLAR || MEETING 4/16 - Romulus - 04-17-2021

No scream. No wild anger. Just... quiet. To hear his sister's call without any will behind it was different. Romulus' paused in his activity and looked towards the makeshift camp, observing as a silent crowd began to come forward. His paws began to trail forward cautiously. He was hesitant. Lanky legs halted near the back of the group with care and dropped to the floor, awaiting his sister's words. The lion couldn't help but inquire if his name would be mentioned, especially after their former quarrel in front of the hall. Despite this, his facial expression remained dull.

The first topic was no surprise. Jormungand. Romulus craned his head at the mention of the situation. Unsuprisingly, his predictions had been right. He knew she would agree with his decision, especially with her former announcements, and reveled in the fact of her previous doubt. Satisfied, he lowered his chest to the floor and laid down to the rest of her spiel.

As for the rest the first part of their meeting, the Malus member found himself uninterested. He'd remain in his private cave. Moving all his things was more work than cleaning out the damage done by the mudslide.

It was certainly out of character for Sojourn to see so... disheartened in her call. Aphra didn't think much of it though, considering it seemed like everyone was tired lately. The Kingpin started her announcements with starting with Jormungand's exile, something that Aphra agreed with. She noted that The Pitt and Tanglewood were off limits for the time being, at least in the subject of harming them. "Noted." Was all the she-cat said for now in regards to the announcements, settling down and wrapping her tail around her paws.[glow=COLOR,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

As funny as it was, this was actually Astraea's first meeting. At least, one she was actually attending - but Sojourn's quietness definitely seemed out of the ordinary, from what she had seen from the strange woman. Astraea said nothing as she came over, taking a seat close by Arvid.[glow=white,1,400]✧*:・゚[/glow]

Didn't really matter who did what anymore but one thing that concerned her slightly was Sojourn's entire... being? Vibe? Did not know the words to put it but she was off. She announced the village was finally done being repaired and Inferno shrugged her slender shoulders. Not like she had any belongings anyways save her pride.

Re: JUST A BURGLAR || MEETING 4/16 - angelembrace - 04-18-2021

"they flip the siren, hit the lights" ── Angel had no real recollection of the original camp, the mudslide unfortunately taking place shortly after his birth. So as it stood, he had no connection to the place and no subsequent emotions to go with the news, good or bad. His only thoughts and concerns were about if his previous minor disagreement with the Kingpin would come back to bite him, hopefully not literally, but come what may and all that. Nor did he seem to have any particular response to the mention of Jormungand, whether he was expected to be concerned or not. Attacking Merlin was wrong, plain and simple, and caused more issues within the Coalition than needed. The melanistic jaguar being his father bore no weight on how he viewed the situation, no slack would be cut just because of blood relation. That would be ridiculous.

The jaguar cub arrived a little later than the others, quiet and remaining somewhere in the back as if to avoid attention to himself. There had been enough on him in the hall alone, no?

Jormungand's cub walked over, silent in perhaps thought? He settled himself some distance from the crowd and she slowly stood up, padding over to the younger male. "Sorry about your dad. Ever need someone to talk to, you can talk to me. We share a mother and she didn't care about me either."  Not good with feelings but that was the only thing she could think of to offer. She laughed, remembering the whole Typhoon situation that drove her to leave in the first place. "Oh I've got stories." She murmured.

Re: JUST A BURGLAR || MEETING 4/16 - trojan g. - 04-18-2021

[align=center][div style="max-width: 415px;text-align: justify;font-family: times new roman;font-size: 10pt;line-height: 116%;text-indent: 35px;"]Lost puppy. Those were descriptor words that could be said about Ruven. Wherever Sojourn went, the child did, a lost puppy following her around until he found his proper home. He'd attached himself to his new mother, and he'd make damn sure that she was around for him, even if it meant sticking to her side like a parasite. That's what he was, a parasite, but he was a loving one that tried to make sure everything went well, tried to make sure his mother was calmed down when she needed and that she was there. He'd seen the cracks from her, personality already differing from when she had been out in the neutral lands between here and the Typhoon. She hadn't ever been fully sure of herself since he knew her, but she had never been this quiet in public, never this defeated.

He paid no mind to it for now, hopeful that it was just something she did for meetings to make sure no one was scared of her, to make sure she was loved by others how she was loved by him. So he followed, making his way to lay down beside the female as she spoke, ears pricked as he listened and eyes looking over those that arrived, watching. He was excited for the camp to be clean and finished, glad that he would get his own little space. He'd never had that before. He paid no attention to the words of Jormungand past that he was exiled and wasn't allowed back. All Ruven needed to know from that was his name and that he was gone, nothing else mattered. He was too young to go somewhere other than the Coalition right now anyway, so it didn't matter if they weren't allowed to mess with them. He'd learn that in time when he was an apprentice.

His paws seemed to drag across the ground, the tiny grey persian flicked her ears as she approached the group, thick tail swishing about. "Hello, you chaotic fu- I mean, chaotic people." A toothy grin spread across Byriath's face as she sat down. Finally, she could move into her home. Clean shit up, set up herb stores.
